Liberty just gets into your head and won't leave! Since I discovered how darn gorgeous it is I have used it in very many ways. This quilt is the second biggest thing I have ever made at 7'6" square. It took me weeks to make. I watched the whole boxed set of The Gilmore Girls while I made it I seem to remember!
I know it is expensive, this is top of the range fabric and silk combined! And hand quilted too! Are you the one person in the whole world who would like to sleep under this every night?
EDIT - someone has decided it will be them who gets to sleep under this quilt every night! the quilt is sold and will be starting its new journey soon!

Gorgeous gorgeous Liberty. It's stunning Kate &. 2 layers of silk wadding. It must be heavenly to sleep under. An enjoyable watch as I sit here unpicking a quilt to take out the ' loud' colour's I feel do it an injustice 😲😁

I have a neuromuscular disability and cannot quilt. Though my hands are quite strong enough, my shoulders and arms are too limited in their range of motion. But I remember! My muscles remember, like riding a bike. I watch you and my muscles remember the motions and my skin remembers the touch of that particular weight of cotton. So I go through the stitching with you and the layout process and all the lovely Liberty swatches and the doubled silk wadding. Oh my, Kate! You give me life. Thank you. p.s. My husband, retired from construction industry, also watches your quilting and says "No wonder the best layout workers were women!" Building a quilt is no different in skills than putting an architect's drawing into wood and stone.

Your Liberty quilt is just beautiful! In the US the cost of Liberty fabric is enormous: $35 - $37 per yard but it is so soft and luxurious. And your silk batting really adds to the luxurious drape of your quilt, just lovely!

I am now in love with the fabric. It is amazing. What a wonder hand the fabric has. Yes, silk wedding is the only way to honor liberty. Looking forward to your future videos.

That quilt is gorgeous! I hope you got well over $1,000 (819.71 pounds sterling) for that quilt...Liberty fabric goes for over $30 (24 pounds sterling) a yard in the USA.

LOL, Norma has no concept of filming, she just sees mum sitting and chatting with a cup of tea so it has to be lap tIme! Haven't got to the end of this clip yet but sure am enjoying it. I miss my Webster man helping me like this.

Absolutely gorgeous! ! ! You took my mind off a terrible day, my dear dog, Sassy, passed today. She was the sweetest mutt in the world. She had diabetes for about 3 years now, but thrived despite of it. My husband and I are devastated. 😭💔 Thank you for distracting me.

I have a trip around the world quilt that my grandmother pieced when I was a girl. It starts with a central block and the colors go all away round by round. It uses bright happy colors and many are scraps of my clothing. She was going to make one for each granddaughter. Being the youngest, I was lucky. She made mine first and I don't think she ever made another for a grandchild.

I've noticed that there is thumbs down on almost all of the videos , , funny thing that . I don't understand why anyone would do that . I think all of Kate's videos have been done light and friendly and informative with no put on .So why have an issue with her honesty and kind soul ,I give thumbs down to all you down thumbers , LOL
