Pixel Pictures - this is how I show Liberty fabric's unique way of blending colours and patterns together
In the next Liberty Video I will show you what i do with these pieces
Thank you for your support
While I read every single comment, it is not always possible to respond to every one - and I am very sorry about this - but as the channel grows - which is marvellous - thank you - the task becomes a bit overwhelming!
I appreciate every one of you!
Thank you

Beautiful! This is how I do my very tiny applique as well, I use the heat and bond to secure it before I sew. I must say your big box of tiny scraps of Liberty, made my heart race and my mouth water! 😁 Can't wait to see part 2! Dale from Canada

I have just been bitten by the Liberty bug! I just received my first charm pack from London today and I have never seen or felt such beautiful fabric. Thought at first not to use it but instead went online to Liberty Fabrics in the UK and bought more. I live in California. Pretty expensive but irresistible. I got Tana Lawn. There was a history on this website of the beginning of the fabric line. Very interesting. They also had some of the fabrics you showed here. Just beautiful is all I can say except to feel this as my husband says it's like silk but cotton. Thanks Kate 🤗🧵

Love the pixel pictures and the music! There was a moment when I said, "No Kate, not that one there", but it was okay, in the end it was in a different place. Nicely done! Molly and I often spend an evening listening to music and playing with fabric squares. Thankfully I don't have to worry about her hopping on the table and scattering them about. At 105 pounds, she would send them flying everywhere. Now there's a visual, messy and extremely annoying, but very, very funny. Thanks Kate. Best!

Hullo, Kate. I just made a few mini quilts (or larger coasters) using this method. I used a 1" square and sewing with 1/4" seams, so the end square was 1/2". It's the mosaic method. Sooooo much fun!! and I always had perfect points. I couldn't go wrong. It's so nice and easy. Oh! I want to thank you so much for the recent postcard and sachet. I can definitely imagine those little squares made into larger pieces, line cushions. And the little stuffed dog! It's in with my lingerie with it's lavendar scent. Thank so much for sharing your liberty fabric. I feel honoured. I know how hard it you be for you to purchase more. Can you imagine???? We had snow yesterday and today. It didn't stick, but you can imagin how cold it was the last few days. -2C -5C, etc. By next wekend we\ll be up to +18C, more normal, finally! How are your drawers, Kate. Did we get those all purged out? LOLOL Have a great day and thank you again.

Great idea, fusible backing for pre-viewing or just a stable foundation. The liberty fabrics are just gorgeous. Year ago I tried a Water Color quilt. The painting was with 2"squares. Very similar to what you're doing, but it also had a design in the middle or a persons face, or perhaps a horse, etc. Definitely needed a big work space.

I have been shouting at the screen over and over (but only about one particular square), however... something must be wrong on your end of the camera, as you do not seem to be hearing me! 🤣😂....or perhaps you just do not agree, with where I want just that one little square to go?...🤓....all right then have it your way!!!! HAHA! .....Anyway, I just wanted to say how you have made my morning, today. ......I have been working in the heat of outside in Florida(,about 5 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico),it is so very humid this morning and quite hot, I had worked up such a sweat by 6:30 a.m.(it was barely light)...that I had to take a shower outside, fully clothed just to cool off!... but, I love an outside shower at any time and of course my dogs have to jump under the spray, for a quick cool off as well! .....I have 3 really goofy rescue dogs, a white boxer,a red standard poodle and an old lady tri-colored hound dog, that got displaced in a Georgia swamp during a hurricane, years ago, (she mostly sleeps,as she has to as old as Mrs. Methusala by now!) .....A very, sweet, sweet old girl and she loves cats! ("Hello Norma and friends", she says!) ......Now I am inside, with dry clothes and my oatmeal ( with just a bit of candied orange peel, then dried cranberries, walnuts, and lots of different seeds, a bit of butter and cream!....but no other sweetener, than the candied peel needed).… and your video! ...so thank you again for inspiring me,to get back out there and get busy .( Today while I am doing busy work outside,I will be planning my own "pixel picture" with my stash of snippets in my head, so that this evening,I will have it in my minds eye ,all ready to go!.... Thanks again and Have an awesome day!!!!!

Hi, Kate! Love this idea of using fabric to make a pixelated picture. Very zen. You could (if you were completely daft) use smaller squares to form actual images...not going to do that. But I did love your map quilt of Britain. I told my hubby last night that I thought I might make a wall hanging of Texas using that technique. A good year's worth of couch sewing I think. LOL! I know you like knowing where we're from, so I'm from San Antonio, Texas. Found your channel and am quite addicted! Thank you for sharing your life and love of all things crafty.
