Thought I’d discuss the crackers few weeks I’ve had which have been a right old pain in the arse!

As I always say thanks a million to all my subscribers, and thanks to everyone that watches my videos, if you haven’t subscribed please consider doing so, I like my subscribers quite a bit more than my none subscribers I almost love them, not quite love but better than friends😆
Thanks to the commenters and folk that share these on, they’re intended as light hearted entertainment, some are absolute crackers some a bit more serious. I love the model railways, I love filming them going about their business and I love chatting about them. No one in my house is interested in listening to me chat about them, hence I chat to you guys. Feel free to ask any questions.
The intention of this channel is to come at a different angle from the usual and do my own thing which may or may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
It gets me some peace up here in the loft though so I’ll keep it going. I only have a small fleet as they’re all the new sound fitted models and it’s a new hobby so don’t expect a different loco in each video. Hope you like this one, cheers! Dave

I am always impressed by your cinematography and your modelling skills, great looking steel truss girder bridge On your planned shed.I would maximize the available space but it would be nice to have a work area

Very very entertaining thank you Dave, hope you’ve seen the end of life chaos for a good while bud. Sorry to hear you’ve had enough of biking, I did the same a few years back but it didn’t last, soon got another although rarely sees daylight. Anyway, you’ve got a natural talent Dave, keep it up.👍

Thanks mate, I haven’t had enough of biking just had enough of owning my current bike as it was impractical for what my mates do everyone’s gone adventure bike and I’ve got a 1050 speed triple. I’ll get something in a year or so. Cheers for the compliments too 👍

Top job as always mate. Glad you and your family are safe, cars are made to crumple so it done it's job. A ball ache to sort out though. I'd just like to say I noticed my Accurascale Colas 37 has got white lines on the wheels.... bloody mesmerising!

You’ve not had much luck mate, glad to hear no one was hurt. I’ve got a quality Passat TDI estate with about 232k on the clock. Only 13 previous owners with absolutely no service history MOT’D ‘til Julember 25. It’s a bargain and to you we can arrange a special one off payment of 3 x weathered wagons pure rustic style…

Honestly mate the car was faultless until I paid for the timing belt and it all went down hill from there! Stuck 4 premium tyres on it too the month before we went away, that and the EGR valve and an oil change! Basically what I’m saying is I spent 6 sound fitted accurascales on it 🤣🤣🤣 anyway the jinxed thing has gone now 😩👍

Welcome back. Bigger is better, gives you more scope. How big is the gap in the middle?. Could you pinch a bit more space?. River looks good until you look down on it, those pesky bubbles. I would save turning the garage into a gym, spend more time in the railway room making videos 😆

The garage conversion is as follows. Move some bits to the far end, put some rubber mats down, stick some bits and bobs around and put a radio in the corner - should take about 90 minutes 😉👍

Also - gap in the middle was 60cm on the right bits but I’ve changed it up to 80 now then there’s a clearing about 2.3mx1.5m for pondering around in

Hey up Dave. I would personally have a double mainline. And then just have a single coming off it for a branch or outlier line.. AND OH NO!! the end of Aussie world!! What am I gonna do!!??? I would be careful, Ive seen that red eyed, cigar smoking Big RED in the corner.. Give it a machine gun, and everyone could be in trouble..LOL. Am looking forward to seeing the new build take shape, and continued shots of this one, especially with the 37's, You know I hates them.... Now, no big head right?, But mine has progressed well, thanks in no small part to your sense of humour getting me laughing and mid wobbling. Good to see you are safe n sound..

Cheers Andy, I had all plans to adjust the original but having one 3x the size is making me want to abandon any major work on this now. Mick Dundee failed to turn up to the grand opening of Australia work which annoyed the locals

The river looks great on video. If you had to change anything you could paint on a layer of shiny Mod Podge. It worked for my lake. I was also able to create the wake from a boat using Mod Podge. One day I will link to my other channel so that you can take a look.

The river looks a bit of OK on camera and security will have to catch that camera man when time resumes for him. Sorry to hear about the fender bender but glad no one was hurt. Now Hilton said you look like Russell Crow and even showed a picture of you with Russell Crow's face supper imposed on your body, lol. Hilton did not tell us about the crazy brick photographer he met. As far as shed size I would go for the 3.5 by 8 for the extra width because 3m is less than 10 feet and you lose almost a foot or .3m for walls and that leaves you at 2.7m on the inside width. Yeah I’m going to go 3.5m I’ll Make sure they’re internal dimensions - I might even be cheeky and go beyond the 30m rule yet who’s gonna know 😁 Had a good day with Hylton I introduced him to Scampi flavour fries in the pub which went down surprisingly well 👍

Eyup Dave, that river looks alright on the video. Someone mentioned trying Mod Podge, personally, I find matte medium works really well. Gel if you want ripples or fluid/pouring if you don't. If you want it to look more shiny, just spray it with either satin or gloss varnish. You've got to reinvent Australia World into a meat-burning barbeque and beer area. Much more like the real Australia. Cheers mate!

3m x 10m for sure. Those long straights will be great, and the 3m width will give you 1 m radius curves with a bit of straight between (or 1.4m radius curves). I am building in a 40 ft container (about 2.5m x 13m) and seriously no length is ever long enough - and the curves are easy enough - wider than 4th radius.

@@doubleodave Yeah, got to stay in her good books, so she doesn't look to hard into the expenses. That said, I still think longer will be better. Just another idea - consider two layers, with about 30cm between them. With good lighting under the top layer, you can do filming of either layer as if it was blue sky all around. A helix at one or both ends can get you between layers nicely. Charlie at Chadwick does this, and a lot of north American layouts do too.

Sorry to hear of your accident. Relieved everyone is okay .Something needs to be done about the insurance of foreign drivers. .My sister in law took nearly 2 years after a similar accident to yours but on the M61 before her insurance company received a penny and until then the claim goes against the victim.

Yep it’s shocking! Bearing in mind in this day and age you can transfer thousands of pounds from your bank to someone else’s in seconds using a mobile phone anywhere in the world but someone can’t say - yeah my bad, to their insurance company!?!?

I’ll still be on two wheel a lot Craig just not on my own 😆 I looked back over the last three years and it’s been getting used less and less so I thought sell it, convert the garage into a gym for our lass as quickly and cheaply as possible then make a new train room 🤣🤣👍

I’ve done some fettling around since this plan and am now on version 6.3.2.9 which has nothing below 4th radius if I remember correctly - like you say though I might adjust further for full speed flat out run abilities 😈
