When I was in college I could never study in the library because I was constantly going into this trance like state listening to study groups or pairs of people whispering to each other (I couldn't hear what they were saying) and all the quiet shuffling of paper noises. Thirty years later I realize it was ASMR I was experiencing. This was a very nice video. The typing noise is fantastic. Oh man! Now you are mentioning libraries used as sound therapy! I was a head of my time!

👍 my experience is similar. I found out it was asmr earlier this year. Had this since I was at least 3 or 4 years old. First experienced it when people would play in my hair. More recently i had a selection of lectures and interviews I ran across on youtube that gave me this effect. It'd help me to fall asleep. When I ran across "asmr" and it's definition and these artists my mouth was wide open! Who knew I and only 2 other ppl I knew had this or that "this" was a "this." And Maria is the best so far!

I always thought I was the only one who experienced the tingles because no one ever understood what I meant when I tried to describe the relaxation I felt in libraries or being in class during a test when all the students are quiet other than pencils wiring on paper. Who knew it was actually a thing? So excited to have discovered these videos and to have validation that I am not a weirdo :)

I usually don't comment on the appearance of ASMRtists, it seems beside the point a lot of the time. But since it seems like people have been getting you down with petty comments, I figured I'd make an exception. One of the first things that struck me about this video was how great that shirt looks on you, and how classy you look in general. The nails are a fun and flashy touch and, above all, they're YOUR nails. You can do whatever you like with them and you aren't answerable to any RU-vid douche canoes for that. The tapping and tracing triggered me like crazy, and I really liked how you incorporated inaudible whispers into the beginning segment of the video. My brain melted completely. Thank you so much ♡

Libraries have been ASMR inducing for me since I was in elementary school. It was always so quiet and wooden chairs they had always creaked when first sat upon. I was surrounded by quiet, creaking, and the smooth sound of the card catalog being used. Thank you so much for bringing back this memory for me :)

I am so glad I've discovered ASMR I thought I was the only one that had that kind of effect I first experience my ASMR when my dad went for his chiropractor appointment it was him and he was talking and it felt like I was getting a face massage without any touching me and I was asking him stuff because his voice was so soothing

Props to Maria for using one of those older, raised-button keyboards with her long nails. For real, they're so hard to use if you have long nails because your nails always get stuck between the keys and it's really hard to hit the correct buttons.

I thought that this video was the utmost example of perfection. Your soft voice, and the calm typing of the keyboard, as well as the tapping on the books with your golden nails. OMG I’ve seen this video at least a hundred times, and while the tingles had worn off for the most part I love falling asleep to a familiar track so I continued to play it. I only JUST picked up on the whispering and murmuring in the background and now the tingles are back in full force! Thanks Maria!

Something strikes me about ASMR videos. They give us what everyday modern life doesn't. That is time for others. What Maria does in this library role-play wouldn't happen in real life. A mass producing society does not allow for one person to devote so much time and care for another. Don't you think?

It’s true but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t enjoy this much personal attention from a stranger irl. It would make me shy and uncomfortable. That’s why I love ASMR videos, I can enjoy without someone looking back at me or having to react appropriatly

Спасибо вам. Мне ASMR помогает не заснуть, а работать :) Во время работы очень приятно включить на фон ASMR. Большая благодарность вам также за то, что вы в своих видео говорите осмысленно, связно, а не просто повторяете какие-то слова по несколько раз для создания шума. Oh Maria, I don't think I've ever commented on any of your videos and thanked you for helping me relax when I'm stressed or can't sleep. I always thought I was weird ever since I was a kid, for getting goosebumps and tingles when I heard certain noises. I came across your Russian language video a few years ago when I was trying to learn a new language and ended up discovering the ASMR community. Thank you for your dedication to these videos and helping people all over the world such as myself, relax with your ASMR videos!:)

Maria is so nice in her comment, but nobody should nitpick her. She works hard making the video, and it is clear how much effort she puts into it. I wish that more of us would quit being whiny. On a side note, complimenting someone does not have to be disrespectful. So if you wouldn't say it to your mother, just do not say it at all. Maria is beautiful and a lady, therefore treat her like one (pls and thanx) :3

In my childhood in the old flat where we lived, we had a lack of space and rooms. So the computer used to be in my children's room. In the evening when it was time to sleep my mom would sometimes be on the computer and I would sleep to the sound of the keyboard typing and mouse clicks. My first experience of asmr haha :)
