@@LilacAsteria i think they've intentionally made her unbalanced to make farming easier, while trusting the players not to spoil ourselves by overusing her in the battles from here on out (she's basically a safety net for baby gamers who aren't good enough to finish the game. they've even got a great excuse if people complain the games to easy "it's a single player game and its optional to use her" )
When you think about, it should be pretty terrifying for both the librarians (since they forget that they cant die) and for the guests the red mist sudenlly getting the mountain abnormality page and literally eating her own allies...
If you have vampirism + fear of water(and maybe health hauler too) + absorption, you basically build a self-sustaining strength generator. It's hilarious.
Other things of note in this update: - Yesod's Synchronise ego page is now available to abu- I mean, use - Gebura's ego loses its drawback entirely - You can now eat 4 librarians instead of 3.
@@azrod5653 Nothing there's abnormality page includes "negates all stagger damage" Gebura's ego manifest has a drawback where if you deal under 40 damage in a turn she takes stagger damage. And when Gebura is completely staggered, she loses her ego. So putting those two together, you essentially prevent Gebura from ever losing her ego.
@@azrod5653 Gebura's only weakness was that she lose her Ego manifestation if she was put into a stagger. Now ... we have "shell" from mimicry that makes the chosen librarian immune to stagger. Gebura no longer need to fulfill 40 damage quota to maintain Ego.
Patch 1.0.3.6c: Once a Counter die has been used against a Combat page, it is no longer retained to respond to other Combat pages. Capped the maxium Strength gain from the Abnormality page 'Absorption' at 3. Fun's over guys I'm surprised it took this long for them to realize how broken both counter and Geb's abnor pages were
Note that this was the first run where I got past red riding hood I was trying to do this fight sensibly, expecting that they'd have some sort of anti-solo Geburah in place But as you can see, they did nothing to counter Geburah from turning into critical mass and killing everything So I think you could just slap yuna's passive, the carnival's passive and shi office's passive And let everyone but Geburah die on the very first turn and you'd already be set for the entire fight
-Addendum actually, the wolf might swallow Geburah if she's the only one left when you get past Red Riding Hood, so eh, maybe keep some body alive and hope he eats the sacrifical librarian instead of Geb-
when counter recycles itself infinitely as long as it wins clashes and when Geb can have more strength than dice power the enemy can roll, there's not much that can stop her...
@@zealiskander Absorbtion gives you a flat +strength every scene based on how much life you recovered ever since the start of the fight It can go up without limits atm and you can exceed 100 strength if you deliberately stall phase 3 by killing the respawning corpses
Despite the game being pretty much unlossable at that point, I was too worried about messing up to the point where I have to repeat the run (and have to fight Red Riding Hood again) to try anything reckless ;_; Damn, I guess I should check someone else's video to see what the attack looks like
I'm just a little sad you didn't get to pull off Great Split:V on Unknown, it would have been a badass finale. Still, nice fight and Gebura is still stronk as hell.
Man, remember when Nothing There was supposed to be unbeatable in L. Corp? Then people figured out how to beat it, and even turn it into an asset during Gebura's suppression. And while it may just be Roland using EGO equipment, now Gebura runs the thing over. I'd almost feel sorry for it if it weren't a colossal pain in the posterior.
Nothing There is just ALWAYS associated with Gebura now from sword to suppression. But if not for Gebura, Nothing There would have absolutely destroyed the team
@@erihtea0719 Pretty much. I'm not sure how much of this was intentional, but it almost feels like the easiest way to clear this Realization is to basically set Gebura up to duel Nothing There for a little fanservice.
The biggest issue is the first, i either kill the wolf or Red dies first. And annoying 2nd swallow. The rest are lot more manageable. Though i keep running low on light.
Nothing There seems like an absolute pain to kill without abusing any strength buffs very resistant to damage, nullifies >5 damage and heals 10% of max hp if you fail to do 80 damage every scene Also, just like the wolf, he uses pages with 4-8 block counters that give + 1 strength on win clash win so...
Why do this fancy strat when you could do s m o k e. Do the Leaflet Workshop by putting 2 Star tier 2 (second level, like R. corp stuff) books in an invitation. They rely heavy on smoke, which upon defeating them, you can use for yourself. Once you get Yae's keypage, apply Sooty Thwack from Wang's page to the passives and then whatever else for the remaining slots. I didn't do any specific damage build for him, I just used a bunch of smoke gain/give and light regen cards. For the remaining 2 Wang pages and a Jin, I focused on Blunt damage for the deck, with light regen cards ofc. don't forget a smoke pipe or two! For the passives I did Smoke Overflow, Excess Supply, Punch to the Solar, Meow Meow~, Improv Drumming and Meat Gear. For the E.G.O pages, I used Vampirism, Fear of Water, Ruddled Welts, Vengence and Absorption on Gebura. Didn't know Absorption only worked after an Act is done lol. Wine would've helped more.
Because as you said, it was fancy First, leaflet didn't exist yet (since you had to mention it in a video more than one and a half years ago) Second, smoke forces you to bring smoke centric cards for obvious reasons Smoke is great, I know people pull off big numbers with smoke but I wanted to play around with all the other pages and not restrict myself to smoke so there you have it
@@LilacAsteria oh, my apologies if I sounded rude. I didn’t know leaf didn’t exist at the time so thanks for telling me. I was trying to make a “no think, only smoke” joke. It’s good not to restrict yourself, I learned my lesson there with Chesed Realization. A smoke centric build can work, got to last phase with it, I was just dumb and didn’t use those special Oz pages first turn. When I completely readjusted the strat and only kept Yae from it, the battle popped off. So yeah, I get why not to restrict yourself.
@@wingdingfontbro I'm sorry too lol, got a bit triggered by that Anyways, if I recall correctly, most of the latter half of the non-story receptions were added really late, roughly around when the ending of the game came out. Those receptions included (iirc) Mirae Life Insurance, Leaflet Workshop, Udjat, Oufi and Bayard. I forgot if Night Awls, Rusted Chains and Blade Lineage were together or came out earlier. Regarding smoke, it's highly possible (and maybe even easy) to clear the entire game with just smoke builds. Even so, there's not as much fun if you don't try out every thing the game has to offer to you xp. Ironically, I didn't use smoke a lot because of that reasoning (that I assume everyone has to run smoke to get full mileage out of it)
