Library of Ruina modded: Cold sun in a nutshell 

One of these days, someone is going to make a mod that takes 20 or something acts to complete and the only reward for completing it is going to be a characters backstory for going through what was essentially an endurance gauntlet.

As a reward for myself for beating this mod completely vanilla, I subjected Sunny to Hod purgatory using "THAT" mod. It was very satisfying.

Showed them a real thumb firing line. Honestly mod has nice visuals but considering the barely disguised fetish, kids with workshop equipment somehow on the same level as Grade 1s, the 25min story (that still has loose threads btw), the fucking bloodfiend that shows out of nowhere, and the entire basis being "Bro this totally cool person in the city that got involved in things like the eight chefs and somehow knew enough about distortions being connected to the library(Even though this is literally an entire plot point and why the book of the distortion exists. Hell very few organizations would be able to even guess that.)" It reeks of classic look at my epic OC that completely disregards any canon or through-line of the PM verse. Since this mod is pretty big and looks amazing it's gonna be emulated like Angels of Ruina (which suffers from similar things) and J-Corp (Which just blatantly disregards canon about distortions for epic vampire larp) I personally like playing through mods even like this but any story that gets put out usually tends to be mediocre at best. And generally the mods gameplay is usually a mess of complex abilities to show off how much better or cool their reception is to everyone else. It just ends up being a muddy mess that feels like wasted potential.

I've downloaded so many mods for this game that every dice roll is just a slide show, but in the meantime while I get more RAM you just reminded me that Frostpunk is really good

I'd probably like this mod a lot more if it didn't A. Turn my computer into a bomb and B. Made the Thumb characters just Sunny and Basil from omori (like what the hell are they doing here? ) C. The dialogue between Sunny and Roland (You're telling me no one recognized Roland, but this kid figured it out upon meeting in like 2 seconds get the fuck out of here.)

Wait so Glenn fight was NERFED That's why people say he is easy Ok so on release Glenn cannot be killed and couldn't be staggered before all his men were dead, and he could just play 2 MA if anyone of his team dies and he has at least 6 light. So that fight got super annoying very very fast, I hated it so much. Well, on release had a lot of other issues. First fight and 3rd fight was also kinda buggy, I even got soft locked on the 3rd fight when he transformed. I had to actively stop myself from give it a bad rating because on release was bound to have bugs and balance issues. Glad to see it got better. Also about Ultramarine Escape, the chinese name sounds actually quite good but yeeeah it's not really translating over to English very well, or, they just, need to find a better suited word. Fun fact, both Ultramarine Escape and Liu Ye are "nicknames" of the mod authors.

honestly so many of the bugger LoR mods are so hilariously unbalanced, and thats not accounting for the story gaps that these mods tend to have, it just forces you to play top tier meta if you even want to beat them, or rather have a chance at beating them, it simply becomes unfun at a point, with Cold Rain I really went in and though "oh cool this mod doesnt look half bad" (ptsd from playing through angels or ruina and jcorp the day prior) literally to find myself in the middle of an absolutely broken gauntlet of 3 fights that just honestly felt tedious to even attempt
