If you're in Open G Tuning just capo at the third fret and you'll be in tune with the recording. This is one of the greatest Delta Blues songs ever.
I do a cover of this song, I cannot nor will I ever be able to play it like him. That being said, I've never heard anyone do it like him anyway.
These chords and licks/riffs are in the song and I learned them over the years and came up with a cover of the song that i play and change around at times.
I just think it's important to get a feel for the song and inject yourself into it like Eric Clapton, Cream, and many others over the years who have done a cover of the song.
So, mistakes and all, this is just my interpretation of parts of "Crossroad Blues."
