Another Lidl Glider conversion, This time i thought id give the Me 163 Komet a try. (If you squint ).. It needs a little tweaking But it flew so I consider that a result. Flight video here. • Lidl Glider Mk4 Me163...
You can also help shaping the wing by expanding the foam with hot water. Boiling water on a piece of cloth. Can also be used to reshape crashed foam planes for repairs.
Excellent SkyrisUK, you explained everything very well, i have not started doing anything with Lidl gliders yet, ( too many classic cars, Kites, etc, but thats another story ) but due to videos like yours i have a good idea of what to do and what not to do, thankyou.
It is a problem when there is workshop with eight cars in, none of which currently work, there are two garages, spare bedroom and loft full parts. camping at car shows in the UK and Europe., Going to car shows and helping at some. There needs to be a group for people like me who have this addiction so extreem !
I think we're typical blokes, if we weren't obsessed with cars or R/C, it would Golf, Football, Rugby, Cricket, Fishing, Motorbikes, etc, etc, etc......... Anyway you can always fight back if she is into soaps, celebrity gossip and has a wardrobe full of shoes !
Robotbirds sell quite a range with the Felix IQ XL looking the same apart from the two slots for the horizontal stab. Made in Germany as well www.robotbirds.co.uk/default/aircraft/gliders/chuck-gliders.html?limit=32
One silly bastard made a flying wing glider from one of these and he used balsa for the fin and elevons. Not prang proof like this stuff is. Most conversions are with the original fin, but one silly bugger discarded the beautiful original fin for a flat looking balsa fin that would easily break. What a silly RU-vidr!
