@@ClapYaHandsEverybodyI remember when MLB fitted hats were $18. The first hat I bought with the MLB logo embroidered on the back was in 1989. It was an Orioles hat. The hat was all black with an actual embroidered Oriole on it. Cool hat.
You have a very influential channel and I appreciate what you do. But I think you need to call out Topps on the lack of QC more than you do. It pains me to see people spend $50 for 3 cards and then to see the damage on the cards! In my opinion it’s time for Fanatics to buy the printer and update the equipment at the printer.
I don’t know if the autos or more desirable parallels are on thicker card stock (no need for Topps to do by the way), but if so should be able to tell which three card pack contains. Scalpers and maybe even Lids employees will take advantage of and resell thin/ ‘cold’ packs at premium price.
I love that Acuna 83 style card. 1st card I bought when I got back in the hobby was the 2018 Acuna 83 style RC in a PSA 10 for only $50. It goes for almost 3 times that amount now
I went to my local Lidz in Iowa and they only had ATL, NYY, HOU, and LA. I bought one to hold, but it was very disappointing to not have midwest teams. I would of bought 2 if they had had the Cubs. The lady at my Lidz was on the phone and she wasnt planning on getting off of it until I asked her if she worked there. I got a NYY one and was treated as though I did not belong there the entire time. I kept being pleasant though and she told me that they only stock what they are sent and they havent had any teams from our region.
You definitely have a sports announcer’s voice. (That’s meant to be a compliment). I am glad there isn’t a Lids here. I’d be in trouble. I’d be back into constant card buying. At my age, I shouldn’t be buying up cards. Lol. Edit: I see there are some 27 to 30 miles from here. 😅
This buy just doesn't seem very practical at all, you know I am not happy with the way that this hobby is going you know the road that it has taken okay you have Topps now printing so many different cards of the same player the same picture it seems like they are going right back to printing hundreds of millions of cards look it doesn't matter that they aren't the same card they are the same picture of the same player and it's already getting old,I mean am I the only collector that feels this way, they killed the market already once when I was a young collector making most of my cards worthless my collection rebounded a decade into this millennium and now I see it when I go through all these different names of ball cards printed by Topps in the same year and the pictures of the players all the same on every card come on Topps this is bad as much as baseball fans all over the world pay for your high price products who sad to say but young boys and girls can't even purchase because of the high price of your products. I just want to let you know you have stolen the innocence of every young baseball fan in the world
I was looking for a lids the other day in one of my outdoor shopping centers because they moved it and I couldn’t find it, I’m so mad I didn’t find it I had no idea about these packs until after we got home
The hats with the Topps pack on the side are store exclusives. I went to my local store to get the Royals exclusive hat, and of course, they didn't have. We have their AA team in my state and only live about 6 hours away from KC, but they refuse to stock Royals stuff around here!!.
Great video as always and you didn't play at all, the hats are serious! I'm from Chicago so that Chicago Cubs is nice! What are the hits in there? If only 50 cards wouldn't make sense to keep unopened packs for years later, if not special hits in the set i guess, or would it?
This is an amazing deal. I was at lids yesterday to buy a Cincinnati Reds hat. I saw these Topps hats there. They didn't have a Reds hat for Topps sadly. 😢
He likely picked his own packs like I was able to but felt them all up and selected the thicker packs which have the hit. Numbered cards are on a thicker card stock
Great Video & sweet looking cards & I'll buy the complete set but I wouldn't buy any packs off the secondary market because these would be extremely easy to search & all the thick packs most likely was taken at the store from the get go.......
Having loose packs for the customer to pick… makes me wonder if the packs with numbered cards weigh differently and have been searched… but idk. The packs are too free and could be searched.
