Sir, I do think a lot of inferiority complexes have been created in the minds of us Indians, but that is not because of us being colonized by the British. It's because over the last 75 years, western media has portrayed us as poor and not being as organised as them. There is some truth to it, but I hope that in the upcoming years we start to work on hygiene around us and stop being overly proud of every other achievement we make and stop being complacent. Then only we will be able to not look for validation from foreigners. Just being 1000 years old is not enough, we need to keep on improving and we need to work on the social wellbeing of our society especially in north and big cities.
“I am not a Malala Yousafzai because I am free, and I am safe in my country India, in my home in Kashmir which is part of India,” - Kashmiri Activist Yana Mir.
People Chamge when they see development around them. Many Kashmiris were against India just a few years back, But now they feel the development going around them and have faith in the administration. Having rigid opinions is wrong. Also regarding Kashmiri Pandits resettlement, That is not her job to ask for. Govt of India should take those initiatives. Also Kashmiri Pandits have well integrated with the Rest of The Country, So many might just not want to come back too. @@varadharaj.k.subramanium
Kashmir belong to Kashmiri people not to the invented country of endia ,there has never been a country called endia before 1947 for the whole history of mankind ,endia in the past is what Europeans called the cultural entity of South Asia ,but that wasn't a country but a cultural entity with lots of countries of different nations languages, ethnicities and religions, yes Kashmir was and is part of the cultural entity of endia but it isn't part of the political entity of endia which has been created by the British ,all nations that seek independence from endia should get it ,endia doesn't have the right to keep in its internal empire countries that do not want to be part of that empire...

As an American living in India I can honestly say that I did not personally know anything about India before I came here!!! Now living here in India with my wife and 4 kids I realize how little I thought about broadening my perspective on other countries and cultures! We have been living here in India for a little while and we are learning new things every single day! We love it here in Bharat!!!
March 2024 A Spanish couple visited India, the woman experienced real Indian rape culture by 7 Indian men in front of her husband's eyes and their property was stolen
This story is mine also I met Shakir 15 years ago he was a street kid no education started in a cafe cleaning tables at 7yrs old then driving and now with me he has car house kids and as he says every single day ‘you change my life’ I’m very happy man now before broken man🙏
@@smv1988😊 India is not like Europe. But yea India will teach you to be happy with what you have. Make you stronger and ofcourse survival skills to adapt in any situation. Wish you and your family a good life.
I had no clue that Sara is founder of Bombay to Barcelona Cafe. It's been one of my favourite places in this city. Such a amazing hospitality and great food. Keep up the great work.. Heartfelt Thanks from a Mumbaikar.
Madam your smile is contagious -- you made so many people viewing your Video happy -- Yes -- What you said right -- BHARAT ( as we call for INDIA) is land of spirituality - loving people is natural and not artificial here -- Our existence is not for materialistic pleasure -- There is larger purpose which is written in VEDAs .. In Barcelona on work I was lost and asked directions from a policeman. He listened to me and didn't say anything. "Do you understand English? Do you know where I want to go?" I asked. "Yes, I do. But I won't tell you because that is not my job!" he replied I was shocked, said "Sorry and walked away." That would never happen in India. Maybe that was one cop having a bad day. But that's true too.
@TheSujanroy, thanks for sharing. I witnessed a similar situation with a person in Germany a long time ago. While my friend (an Indian who speaks German) and I were on our way home, a lady approached us anxiously, asking for directions. She told my friend that everyone she approached on the street ignored her and walked away. People would have walked her to this place if it were in India. It dawned on me that if a German citizen could experience this while residing in Germany, just think of the situation that would arise for a person of colour or non-EU national living in Germany (or any other EU nation).
I saw a stand-up comedy show. Wherein he says, whenever U want to know the directions, you must go to an Indian. They will surely answer you even if he has no damn idea about the address you want to reach 😅 It was a joke but yes it's so true as well. Wanting to help and watch other ppl smile at ur help is something everyone craves for in India. It is a cultural thing. Also spiritually, if u dont know what direction to move in life.... Visit Bharat 😊
@@syhwnwgto offset this sad individual case, I will share TWO cases I, non white non European who speaks English not German, was helped by Germans. One time a random person standing outside a bar showed me the direction, and the other time a random passerby proactively and voluntarily stopped just to teach us how to use a ticket machine in an underground metro station, since we appeared to be struggling.
Unusual video. Unusual foreigner and her story. It requires mettle to do what she did. And the character shows in the people at the cafe. All the body language at the cafe is very unique and not found in employees generally. It is amazing
Can anyone comment on the illegal migration from India to the West. The statics are stark and shocking. Highest nationality (Indians) to migrate to the West above Nigerians and Africans. Indians rank third after Syrians and Afghans seeking asylum any and everywhere in the West.
What a nice video! Will definitely visit the cafe next time we are in Bombay 😊 I came to India six years back and like Sara, I feel my work has much more impact here. I'm loving it! Proud Indians here complaining about this interview: unfortuantely the world doesn't look at India like you guys too. So certainly, you don't need any validation. But foreigners do, so they can change their mind about India

@arianunezvega1520 It's because of Europeans India became poor after 200 yrs of looting. Britain alone looted $45 trillion worth of money and resources from India. India does not need any validation from colonizers.
Thank you for the video. It has so many inspiring & lovely stories within stories. But the most beautiful are the sunny smile and the lovely hearts of Sara and her husband. One can make a movie out of it. God bless them.
Madam, I am very glad to know that someone like you, especially from Europe, understands india. Why not, after all the indian civilization, is one of the great civilization of the world.
Greatest civilization in the world which has the cursed Caste system. Treating other human beings like something dirty on your shoe which needs to be discarded.
It's true what Sara says about Indian hospitality . You are treated like one of the family whenever you're invited to an Indian family's home ...they will make sure you are fed and feel at home ...it's a part of their culture. I am truly blessed to have experienced such genuine generosity in my travels and Indian friends .
Long time in Hyd i came across a Muslim young man who came down for a brief vacation to India since he was working in Dubai.I asked him how is your life in Dubai He came with a very interesting reply. He said he joined a firm where lot of Keralites were working. As a new comer he asked a Keralite where is the way to a particular section. He replied in Malayalam Nammuda Joli ille which means it is not concerned with me Even the other employees came up with the same reply Lastly he understood the hard way The fact is there good and bad people in every country
Being a Keralite, have heard such similar stories abroad. Faced by Malayalees themselves ,irrespective of religion. Even some of my North Indian friends have similar complaints about people from their own states as well It might also be that particular company's culture that might have caused it. And I have met many keralites and Indians who have been super sweet and helpful. So yeah both sides of the coin exists everywhere. Just try to be kind regardless. That's the only thing that matters, people kinda forget about it , while handling the daily stresses of life. Not realising that others too are going through the same grind.

Well just go back to beautiful India. Your husband left India for a brighter financial future and you probably had an arranged marriage to get Canadian citizenship. Arranged marriages at 82% as per a survey and the one condition being getting a Western passport only.
It is surprised to see that Europeans who robes India for about 200 years is scared in India.😢😢 Thanks this lady for doing practical experience not trusting on rumors.

Yes my country's name and opinion was defamed by some anti indian politicians ....so after our most beloved PM Modiji came in power and he restored our rich culture and sanscruti....🙏🙏
Bro you are generalising India. If some one lives in Mumbai or Delhi, they are not yet qualified to rate India. Different states acts like different countries.
If a foreigner says there is a lot of corruption, a lot of dirtiness, way below par infrastructure, hard life, chaotic ways, inefficient governance, bad roads, poor water supply, dangerous levels of road accidents, too much backwardness, corrupt justice systems, police etc - then they would not be wrong. I am pretty sure these foreigners living in India have learnt to tolerate lack of basic issues that citizens expect in any country. Or they are exposed to the barely 10% of systems that work in India. So, let’s be candid. These videos are not reflective of 90% of India.
Thank you for sharing this lovely experience of our guest who is family now. Bharat welcomes everyone who wants to contribute towards humanity, nature and thrive here.
Nobody seems to be doing anything for homeless in their own country, homeless in europian countries have existantial issues due to harsh weather for survival too.
