He mostly did it against the Black Rabbits, which is understandable. Their attacks are incredibly fast and they're human-sized with small weapons, making them even harder to read. Especially in the second fight with the siblings throwing shit at you from off-screen regularly. They're rapid but low damage, making them not a big issue normally, but a nightmare to no-damage I'm sure.
@@arbre_mystiqueI’d put this in a no for a no hit/no healing in boss fight type of thing. Especially him using 10+ on them the whole round. Kinda shocked to see him go that way with the fight. I’ve done them no healing with only losing half my total health and it’s very possible to do completely weapon only.
Some things i observed in this game: 1. It seems to be possible to deflect like in Sekiro with minimal stamina consumption, and stamina regens very fast too. 2. Throwing pots doesn't take a eternity like in Elden Ring and can be chained together for some reliable ranged damage, though the enemy AI in here doesn't dodge projectiles like in Elden Ring so you can totally melt enemies from afar.
Yep, pots are the key for trivialising most bosses. And as they make it clear each enemy type has an elemental weakness: puppet - electric. Carcasses (monsters) - fire. Human/all good around element - acid. It’s easy to stock up on the correct pots for an upcoming fight if you know what type it is. And then boom, it’s dead in 5-6 pots.
@@tanelviil9149 blocking doesn’t do damage.. it does stagger damage and weapon damage. If you took damage when blocking then you didn’t do a perfect guard. Perfect guard is when you time your block just as the hit lands. You can heal back up the damage you took from normal blocking by attacking an enemy
I’ve been waiting to play this game all day and you’ve already mastered it before I could touch it. Once again Ong you’ve proven how amazing you are at timing and prove your detection.
@@titanus261 The demo is free i recommend you try it. Honestly the games controls are fairly simple but what makes it challenging is those controls. Bosses have a wide range of attacks while enemies can kill you if you slip up. The game can be challenging and hard but fair if you like souls- likes you’ll like this game.
I played the demo on Xbox yesterday and it’s still available not sure if you’ll find it on steam or PlayStation sadly. It may not be available anymore on other platforms cause it releases today.
I just can’t.. incredible. I felt amazing getting through a few bosses first try but this is something else. First time watching one of your videos and you just made a new fan for life. 👏 🙇
Try to master the parry, memorise at least the first fase and minimise the damage you take also take with you a lot of throwable items, that's what i did. I killed him at the 40⁰+ try 😂😂😂 it's a nightmare.
for some reason nameless puppet was not too bad for me, worst boss for me was the goddamn bishop. I got him at around 20+ tries, but enjoyed his fight a lot, gave me slave knight gael vibes in terms of pure enjoyment. Maybe since I am used to lightning fast enemies, its only a matter of time until I memorise his timings unlike slower enemies who occasionally delays their attacks.
@@MrRizzs its surprisingly a pretty good soulslike. if you like sekiro and bloodborne, youll love this game. 60$ might be a bit hefty though, i got it for free on gamepass. i definitely wouldnt be surprised if people find it worth 60 though, like i said, its a damn good game imo

I didn’t know the archbishop had a second phase, so imagine my face when I’m celebrating a hard fought battle, only for him to slither out and greet me. I love this game lol
Been watching you since Sekiro and searched your name + lies of P : still as much fun to watch you use the various mechanics the game offers to slay those bosses ! Inspiring !
One cool detail about this game is that name of the bosses are at the center of healthbar. In dark souls, elden ring etc., name of the boss is on left side
@@titanus261 how, i mean, parry window in lies of P is way tighter and less forgiving, as lies of p has 8 frames parry, but sekiro is 30 frames parry, on 60fps. but of course you can dodge more easily in P
Are there any particular parts of the game that you didn't like Ongbal? I saw your replies that you enjoyed the game, but I'm curious to the flaws you've encountered from your playthrough.
For me the biggest flaw is the game heavily makes life harder for motivity builds. Slower bigger hitting weapons are much much harder for your life compared to fast hitting dex weapons. And even then! Advance builds reign superior, due to the game only having 3 main enemy types and each type has an elemental weakness you can exploit with fast hitting elemental weapons. Making them supreme for damage.
@@YEY0806 yeah, makes str builds hard due to the slow nature of the attacks. A fly could land on you and you’d be knocked back or kicked out an animation haha! But hey, at least most enemies are easy to stagger. Giving you big swingers your time to smash.
There’s no way!! Amazing 👏🏾 would love to see how you allocated your skill points, amulets used etc. 🧡🧡 also where do you find 4 shot puts for the brother hood fight! 🤣
Umm Laxasia 18:00 he was charging fable and took a direct blow when she lands that pushed him back open arms and no life loss ? On perfect guard u don't get push back just on normal guard but then u have light red life to regain
@@raulzachici674 good observation, there are many instances where he performed perfect blocks without tapping the block button just before an attack. I just can understand how is that possible. Some cheat ? Or p organ abilities I need to upgrade regarding blocks?...need some help here
How many times did you die to these bosses before you got to a point where you mastered their moveset and your approach to the fight? That's what I want to know. Obviously you didn't step into this game and were able to approach these bosses and defeat them all no damage. You obviously have memorized their move sets and the timing and everything. So if you don't mind how many times you need to take per boss if you counted?
I would love to hear your opinion on the parry timing, as somebody at your skill level do you think there should be more frames? Or does it feel fair with enough practice?
@@_ONGBAL Could you explain what things you like and don't like about it? Its definitely the best soulslike game out there but it has its issues for sure.
I haven’t watched the whole video or finished the game, but last night I finally beat elder brother of the black rabbit brotherhood. Ain’t no way to do that without taking damage…
So I beat the game first time and died loads to all the bosses (learning their movesets) So on my ng+, I decided to test how well I’ve learnt them and *try* to do no-hit. Failed on scrapped watchman, failed on fuoco, succeeded on archbishop and, I came in thinking i’d get hit, succeeded on black brotherhood (first fight). You can cheese it. Kill the first member that joins the fight. Then aim to stagger the elder brother before half hp (when the 2nd member joins) this knocks him down to 40%. Then, throw ALL your pots on him and ignore the gankers. Should be able to down him before the 3rd one finishes his dialogue and joins the fight. I KNOWWWWWW there is no way I’ll do the second fight with the brotherhood damageless… that fight is too chaotic.
I was so excited to see how you deal with "Eldest of the BRB" and lets say...I had a blast. The way you dispatched of his siblings, like the youngest one jumping in...not even bothering with them. They were not even worth your time, just emptying your pocket and make them run. Marvelous fight once again. Truly marvelous.!
After finally fighting all the bosses in the game, I can finally make my ranking of them based on how fun they are. The Parade Master : B tier The Scrapped Watchman : A tier The Kings Flame, Fuoco: B tier The Fallen Archbishop, Andreus: B tier Black Rabbit Brotherhood : S tier The King of Puppets : S tier Champion Victor: A tier The Puppet Devour: B tier The Corrupted Parade Master: C tier Black Rabbit Brotherhood Rematch: D tier Laxasia the Complete: S tier Simon Manus: C tier The Nameless Puppet: S tier
@@danielantony1882 I was considering that, but I wish his backside played more of a roll. Though in hindsight the idea of the boss being different depending on what side you fight is a really cool idea
I understand ðat part, but I mostly consider him an A or S simply because he feels like a "Greek Epic" fight. Ðe vibes are very reminiscent of Perseus VS Medusa.@@couchpotato5657
Awesome video as always. In your opinion is dexterity, strength or balanced build and weapons best in the game? What works best and fits the game better?
Advance builds are the best. Mainly the salamander dagger, electric coil and acidic spear. Switch out which one you use depending on the typing of the boss. If puppet - use electric coil (although scrapped watchman has added shock resistance). If it’s a carcass (monsters) use salamander dagger for fire. If it’s human (and Victor) use acidic spear for acid. These weapons have out damaged any tech/motivity builds I’ve tried.
Hey, from what I could discern, Laxasia seemed to have given you a hard time, but in your opinion, which non-boss enemy has given you the most trouble, so far? :)
Game looks insanely good!! Game pass coming through as king again cant wait to play it when i find the time. Looks so polished and i love how with enough skill you can face tank and stay aggressive like Sekiro and not dodge simulator like how the Souls games can sometimes be.
Idk, I know Ongbal is a god, but the fact that you can even fit every boss no damage in a 20 minute video makes me skeptical about the difficulty of the game. Especially since he did it before the game even came out.
I offer you my most sincere compliments, maybe in the video it may seem easy... but in reality the parry on lies is really very difficult, because you have to be very, very precise! Well done
Yes its a really hard game (coming from someone who platinumed every soul game except DS2) the difficulty reminds me of bloodborne day 1 (before the patch that made the game easier)
The skill divide from ONGBAL and me is sky high! I got all achievements in it finally but it’s taken me a solid month of grinding away, loosing constantly but in the end feeling like I’ve improved a lot. Then I see this guy’s videos and yeah I’ve gone up 1 notch of the ladder 😀
Hi! Thank you for the video!! Ur a beast 😅😅 I would love to see the vid where you practice to give more perspective on how you have reached to this level. Also sometimes walkthrough of the game would be fun!!
First Step: Stop tapping block, it removes parry frames. Hold it at ðe correct time instead. If you hold it, you'll also Perfect Block ðe strike ðat comes immediately afterwards. Ongbal has a few examples here.
Had no issues fighting laxasia, (where people seem to find her the hardest) but it took me summoning a spectre and multiple tries to fight the black rabbit brotherhood lmao. The way you beat them here is so funny.
I must be misunderstanding how this system work, even after finishing the game. I can see several instances where he parries hits that are close together, and it looks like he doesn't even release block in between? I see the block animation as just being held, but it's giving him the parry anyway? Is he quickly releasing block then blocking again without me seeing?
