If I had a nickel for every time I've fought a guy named Manus who used forbidden spells, a staff, and a weird magic hand in a dark void with a jump attack the camera can't follow properly I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
Very nice, I used this weapon on my first playthrough but never quite got the hang of the perfect parry charged attack mechanic, after watching this video I decided to try it out on my NG+ fight against Simon and I was suprised it didnt took that long to get it to work, plus, it was very effective against those red attacks that are normally very hard to perfect guard using the normal guard mechanic, was done and dusted in a few tries. Thanks! this is def my favorite weapon.
@@richards3237 So you see him parry things after swerving the sword, right? If you see closely, there's a moment where the character glows(or twinkles) for a split second after swerving. For that tiny moment, you can parry your enemy and attack pretty hard. The thing is that in order to nail that hit you actually have to calculate your enemy's move so that the enemy lands the attack at that specific moment, which is what Ongbal is doing right now.
@crocoj hmm, I might have to try that sword out. I'm pretty decent at parrying but haven't tried it with that sword. Looks fun if I can figure out that timing
@bolch88bb8 We all do at first, I couldn't parry jack and got killed by some bosses like 30+ times early on but just got done with NG+3 and the plat beating pretty much all the bosses in like 3 attempts on the run. Practice makes perfect!
I'm still having a hard time with the timing of this sword because I never played any Souls game before. But I kept watching your videos, and I'm getting the hang of it. It's still not perfect, but watching this, I want to perfect it.
I been stuck on second phase for 7 days. I had to put it down for a couple days to collect myself. Came back to the sane result. Now I have turned to youtube only to see how unskilled I am. Thanks.
I was happy when the nameless puppets attacks lined up near perfectly with the sword parry. Meanwhile Quasimodo over here made me have to just block hits and get a swipe in once in awhile to win.
I'm laughing so hard thinking that the moment i beat this boss after hours of struggle (with the same weapon btw), i open RU-vid and Ongbal posts this video
bro your skill is amazing! I can barely use katana block!! 2 out of 10 tries I might get this :D Edit: I just tried doing same after watching your video and was able to block 6 out of 10 attacks from this same boss lol

As always, you play in another league from the rest of the world...don't know how you can achieve this level of perfection in this small amount of time... Question: do you think this game is harder than Sekiro? I heard that the deflect is even more challenging thank the Sekiro one, what's your opinion? Thanks
Im curious if you've tried any of the other weapons or skills that have guard frames attached to them like the double spear or if you have just been completely addicted to the Katana, which to be fair, is really cool.
Usually I’d be mad during a two phase boss fight but Simon looks like a giant blue meatball and I just can’t take him seriously, and his second phase is just as ridiculous to look at.
