I'm very surprised you didn't recommend the Puppet String. Arguably the best Legion arm and the best tech one, especially since its Link Attack acts as a super charged heavy with a good stagger hit; but I can respect your choice
I don't think it is a Katana, The game being Korean, and Eugenie being played by a Korean VA, and coming from an analogue for Korea in the game world, I believe it is a a Korean Ssangsoodo.
By far my favorite weapon. So glad I made a Dex build. This weapon is worth it. I kept seeing so many motivity builds doing crazy damage. Now we have a weapon that blows everything out of the water.
It's insane how much love Dex builds are getting while strength builds are left starving. I haven't seen any Motivity weapons that look anywhere near as cool as the Technique weapons.
I've seen some strength weps from some streamers and yah i agree they're definitely not as cool or interesting as dex weapons. but, I think they're still strong, if they add hyper armor to heavy blades I think they'll be very strong. their guard reduction is super good, altho for dex chads, i mean, just dodge lul
Damn I screwed up and went motivity even though I’ve always played dex in dark souls. I saw people saying technique was hard mode and I have a hard enough time with these games. Wish I went dex though can’t stand the slow weapons
I think motivity has some pretty cool weapons. Seven coil, arc sword, the one with the puppet arms…even bone saw blade. The katana is the only tech weapon that’s cool and actually viable. The dagger is kinda nice too but that’s it. Etiquette is pretty garbage for a special weapon. Salamander blade with tech crank is pretty good too for those enemies that have a fire weakness. My biggest complaint was that there’s no good/cool dex weapons till late game. Idk man motivity is pretty fed
@@bellsgg good, haven’t got that far yet. Just got the pipe wrench and don’t like how slow it is. Using the baton handle with glaive and it’s good but I like the salamander dagger better just not built for it.
@@edsherwook5196 ooooh if you just got the pipe wrench then you’re literally almost there. The next area is when you get to have access to boss weapons. Excited for you!
I'm pretty sure the Two Dragons Sword's flavor text refers to Admiral Yi Sun-shin's two longswords, which are national treasures. He's Korea's greatest and most famous war hero, so I think the devs had no choice but to make this the best technique weapon lol.
If you like the Tyrant dagger but don’t want a super close quarters weapon, I would put the handle on the Wintry Rapier blade. I beat the game (first playthrough) with the +10 Wintry Blade/Tyrant Handle with a Technique Crank for A scaling. Only thing I would worry about is getting abilities that booster stagger ATK and keeping the weapon sharp. Don’t know how it would stack in NG+ though.
@AloneAgainstAll885 so the Tech, Motivity, and Advance cranks boost their respective stats up by one Letter. Example: if you have a tech scaling of B and motility scaling for D on the handle, use the tech crank to boost the tech scaling to A and demote the motivity scaling to “-“. Same applies to motivity cranks. Advance cranks just boost advance and don’t demote other scalings. Balance cranks just reset to the original scalings of the handle. So use the crank that has the higher scaling for that stat to maximize the damage output. I don’t know the results of using a motivity crank on the technique based handle or vice versa.
So here's something weird and annoying. That S ranked Technique katana? If you hit 50 Technique, you might as well start putting points into motivity instead and make it a motivity weapon... Not even balance will outperform a motivity katana! It seems to go for all the weapons in the game from what I've seen. you're always better off making it motivity, even if it's a D scaling Motivity weapon!
I am confused by your P Organ explication you say to get Link Dodge first but the passives you put into it are not unlocked till you have already other tiers. It may just be that you skipped showing what you took for Increase Pulse Cells 1 and that is why I am unable to tell. Want to follow the build but having a hard time discerning how you added your points.
4:24 The moon is close, it would be a long hunt to night...Hahahaha *cough* dear oh dear... What was it ? the hunt ? the blood ? or the horrible dreams ?
Weird the P Organs are not shown in the build. Not really a build guide, when you don't show the upgrades to the P Organ. And you're using the higher phase ones on the ones you do show. So can't really go for those as a new character.
Strength build for big boys with anime sword toys next please. :P I want to get my Ichigo Kurosaki / Guts / Cloud Strife fantasy on swinging around swords the size of skyscrapers. lol
I am in chapter 4 and (balance class) and i want to buy all bosses ergo weapons (for trophy) Any idea how to make this build without this rings (boss ergo)??
honestly i would go for damage vs specific enemy, the hp+1 ring, or the one that gives hp+stamina+legion or the stamina ring. for dagger play, use the crit ring if you don't want to use the crit grinder. the basic rings are kinda meh otherwise. like the +4 rings in a stat are garbage once you reach 37 tech
Surprised you didnt mention the trident. A scaling in tech after modified handle. Charged attacks at weapon lvl +4 for me are critting for 1200-1300 normal charged are hitting for around 800. blunt that does slash and stab. I got the katana upgraded it then ended up going back to the trident due to the sheer massive charged attack potential on it. Just got enough weight today to use that amulet that after a successful hit i get an attack buff so its about to be poking like a truck.(just havent tested the amulet)
when testing I've realized all the weapons are balanced nearly the same. there's no sword of night flame or rivers of blood kind of weapon that's far above everything else (well maybe 1 for motivity/advanced). they usually fall in the same dmg range with their 3 bar hits (either around 1200, or around 1600 unupgraded), so the rest just comes down to normal moveset usefulness. but yah, i did use the trident at the start of my playthrough over other things, I would say its top 4 or 5 for sure, for its normal moveset, but in wanting a complete build with two weapons, it had to be kat + dagger, and i would give the edge to the scythe over trident, but its close. I wish there were more magic or buffs to play with, or amulets with like stab damage or something to give a bit more incentive to use x over x.
Yeah trident is slept on. It has a very flexible moveset with a mix of pokes and wider slashes to handle different scenarios. Attacks chain nicely into eachother very quickly to keep regular mobs stunlocked and most importantly, the charged. r2 comes out SUPER fast compared to almost every other option AND it covers a lot of ground. To me this is the best noob enabler of the weapons you get early game.
You mean the moonveil? Btw i am not sure if the katana has the biggest i-frame to perfect guard, i think the Aegis legion arm without any upgrades can perfect guard with a bigger window (watch my last short for demo)
I came across your videos while playing Lies of P and I gotta say I’m a fan lol Great content very well put together. You definitely got a new sub out of me for sure 🤟🏻
I’ve been using the puppet ripper since I got it, I even started over my playthrough as Tech instead of Adv so I could use the weapons in this video lol
Pipe Wrench has literally been the best weapon for me and has helped me defeat every boss up to chapter 8 I have it level 7 rn and it one shots most enemies
Im a level 177 magic user afer only a few weeks beat game 7 times. haven't played in like a year or more but pvp sucked because it so easy with light weight and shadow step with op magic and cannon and 3 bubble guns. I just spam stuff wait for stamina to run out and destroy them
I need more xp farm to increse my lvl if i chose balance or str class? That's only reason why dex at the begining is better or somethibg else?can i just reset stats? And farm a little bit to make this build?
Love your channel man. Came for your MHW videos been around since. A funny little thing I put together is the Pistol Rock Drill Blade + Spear of Honor Handle. It’s literally a giant screwdriver. The Grind art on the blade pairs well with the handles charged R2. And it’s a cheap fable at 1 bar. Stack it with the crit amulet and crit grindstone to get constant crits. Or quick element build up with other grindstones.
Thanks for sticking around for so long! :) Too bad no mh6 reveal yet But i used rock drill with dagger to blast beast swamp with 100% crits and fire dmg lol but I couldn't find the recording so refrained from mentioning it. altho it was less useful for pretty much every other fight but yah, good fun. spearoH was too slow for me imo, which i also cut out from the vid. great art and charged r2, but the r1's were not impressive. wish the r1's were a poke instead of a weird slash swing
Yes the swing was a weird thing. I really did want a poke. I will definitely be looking forward to your MH6 content. Are you gonna be playing Lords of the Fallen?
Honestly dude it’s getting out of hand these creators telling you. Not asking, telling. To like the video not even 60 seconds in. How do I know if I like the video. But mindless NPCs do what they’re told I guess so it must work on them
Awesome video. Quick question on the p organ. I keep hearing you need to unlock 2 nodes in each phase to progress to the next phase. Meaning you need to pick 2 nodes from phase 1 to get to phase 2. I notice you only have one node in phase 3, and still got to phase 4. Do you just need 2 nodes from any phase at all to unlock the next phase? If so 95% if the internet is wrong go figure lol. Also have you tested to see if only adding those passives without completing the node actually grants the effect? Thanks in advance. Love all the vids. Sucks Wo Long dlc didn’t pan out as nicely as Nioh 2 for graces and martial arts.
The nodes do need to be completed to unlock the next phases, but its simply total amount, you don't need to get 2 nodes done in phase 2 to unlock 3, you can get all the starting 4 nodes and easily unlock stage 3 that way for example. as for testing if the passive is active, it should be. example if you get the pulse cell increase one without unlocking the node, you still get that extra pulse cell.
Im using the bone saw blade + master chefs handle. Got it to A scaling in dexterity and the charge R2 and fable art are so strong. If you can get them in a groggy status, you can deal up to 10k+ dmg on strong mobs. With electric blitz and 5 fable slots, against the rosa isabelle clown puppet, Ive managed to kill it with 17k damage total
Proof of humanity just scales better having 2 attributes at B means you can hit the soft cap twice. But this wouldn't come into play until like NG 1 or 2
Another great video from you!! Glad to see more and new stuff from you! Been playing the Two Dragons Sword since I got it and it feels sooooo satisfying to Counter/Parry with it!
Booster glaive handle with the electric coil head was my favorite early to mid game weapon, mid to late it was the dancers sword handle with the sawblade blade with the two dragons sword. If anyone is struggling with daggers. The tyrant handle with the salambder blade is also dope af
i did all boss weapons on my first run so yah doable in ng+, its why i went to ng+ to get the rings so i could show you guys the build. don't bother farming too long till ng+ imo, you get way more ergo in ng+. just meet the hp/capacity threshold and pump as much as you can in tech. it doesn't need to be 37, but 25-30 is fine if you didn't start dex class.
The Extreme Modifications Amulet DOES NOT work when the Fable Slots are discharged - they have to be filled. The description isnt entirely correct - tested and true.
I dunno, etiquette is also really good, fast high dmg with the right build and a crazy damage counter and rush attack, plus two dragons swords basic attacks leaves it lacking, you rely mainly on charge attacks and fable, meaning the rest feel like a waste.
I love the bone cutter blade with bramble handle the charged heavy puts level clearing on easy mode and for fast bosses throw in the perfect parry grinder to break them so easy its funny add in puppet sting pull attack and it is nasty
Just beat the game i have the final boss weapon a +4 and the katana at +4 so and current testing the on my build on both so for the final boss weapon is good for it high damage plus crits and havent used the katana much yet seeing this is probobly gonna make me switch
thank you for that comment early on in the video about the Proof of Humanity. i REALLY wanted to like it and tried using it for some ergo farming at the end of the first playthrough but it really was too slow after using the katana for so long.
Since i got really tired of my motivity build, too slow and vulnerable, i'll give this a try next. Funny how in the end i always go back to DEX builds in these games, did the same thing in Bloodborne.
Can u make a video on your dex p organ build for the twin dragons you showed them out of order so I got confused with what I need so I was wondering if u can show them in order for me
I don’t think you get the damage boost from the fable slot ring if they aren’t full I’ve ran through areas two shotting enemies with it full and ran through the same areas with it empty and took 3 hits to kill them idk if that’s because of some other factor idk about
I'll probably livestream a str run, and livestream wo long dlc, but I've been sick the past two weeks so we'll see. I haven't touched any normal games in a couple months till now.
Is it just me or does all the cool weapons in this game have technique scaling ? I am more of a strength favouring guy and I don't have many options to build a strong strength based character. I would definitely like to see a new strength build.
Tbh the final boss weapon is just better running on a quality build anyway and u woul just run it with an advance crank for when u buff it (not sure if it work ill have to test it for sure) but either way it doesnt take away from motivity or technique anyway and possibly combo it with golden lie for the blunt damage option and decent stunlock as well.
