This is again one of those bosses where because all of the extra enemies deal such little damage to you, doing the fight normally is pretty trivial. But when going for no damage, it's really annoying to deal with. The other enemies all have fast, gap-closing attacks and combos, which can combine with the main boss to make a lot of unavoidable situations. As such, the most reliable way to do the fight without damage is to kite them around and bait certain attacks, or stagger them when they're in the run animation. You could also use the thrown items, but I never liked strategies from range or involving such things.
Another thing to be careful of (and why I took the final phase so much slower), is if you stagger the boss, it resets whatever attack animation he's doing and allows him to start one up again. So where you'd normally have an opening to deal damage (after one of the slams for example), if you get an unfortunate stagger at that point, he can immediately follow up with a counter-attack and hit you when you wouldn't expect it. So, it's probably the least enjoyable boss in the game so far. It's not particularly difficult, just very annoying to do for a no damage clear when focusing on dodging.
