I think one T is top of compression, other time T shows, its top of exhaust stroke. The valves should be in a different position every time the T shows.

When I removed my stator I only have one T on it which I've found to be TDC compression, I'm noticing a lot of inconsistencies on these bikes as I have two. This might be why I see so many people following instructions on the valves but still having issues. When I change the oil on my new expect Ill have to pull the stator and see if it's different because sure enough I had to use the method shown to find TDC compression. You can find posts on the china bike forums detailing the method I shown. I'm wondering if at some point Lifan changed the protocol for adjusting the valves after a certain manufacture year and had only one mark on the stator for TDC
