Great to see you my friend. I’m glad you pushed back with Scott. It’s fact he was pro lockdown and he never stood up for us dissenters.

Re: writing for television today. Consider what the writers had to do in the "golden age" of TV in the 50s and 60s when you had a 1/2 hour show that ran for 39 episodes per season and had to tell one complete story every episode. I think they have it easier today.

Scott’s always interesting. He’s smart and different. I stopped listening to him because, I always felt that his persuasion technique is manipulative. I knew that he was doing this with his “stop trying to be nice to blacks, it won’t get you anywhere” thing.

Scott is rewriting history around masks and the vax. Scott always was for free choice, but he not so subtly pushed the vax by bringing up the ridiculous vax-nonvaxxed statistics and at least once referring to those who didn't want to take the vax as "you people". Scott also said that masks would lead to fewer variants because less virus means fewer variants.

'The Rivals' is an excellent play! So fantastic to hear you talk about it Clifton!!

I appreciate your trying to be diplomatic with the distinguished guest , but Scott while I don't think could accurately be described as "pro lockdown" he never took a principled stand against them. (Which isn't much better it could be argued). I was listening to him almost daily during March/April/May/June, etc, 2020 and his stand on the lockdown centered mostly around "when would be the right time for Trump to open things up" from a persuasion perspective. He also poo-poo'ed the Bakersfield emergency room doctors press conference (that social media companies censored) who looking back turned out to be among the few voices of reason.

One of the best and smartest podcasters. Looking forward to more. Choice of Scott as a guest was typically ballsy.

Hey Duncan been a while! I like Scott's honesty in admitting he was off at first. You said indipendent musicians are doing OK , you think? I may be in a different music scene but where I am in sorta very few I feel are doing OK 😢

Don’t agree on the “structural racism” element. It’s structural poverty. But it isn’t the “fault” of the system. It’s the fault of the individuals in the system. Some individuals are more able to navigate the system for a huge variety of reasons.

Regarding when Scott Adams said people that buck the popular narrative are either independently wealthy or near retirement, he's right for the most part. However, there are some heroes who do not stay silent and speak out at great personal cost. Clifton Duncan is one such individual.

It is fascinating to so often see the difference between what I’m told cancelled people believe, and what they actually say they believe. I don’t often agree with them but it’s always so much less awful than was represented.

Hey Clifton, I love your podcasts and your insightful topics and nature and great guests, this is probably one of the only ones I've watched all the way through and while I agree with most of what Scott Adams says, I disagree with him that no matter how old you are or where you are in your career you shouldn't speak up, that is how we got here in the first place because we were all too accepting of others behaviours, that is not to say we can't tollerate them but I've come to learn that no matter how much you try to fit in it your values don't align with those around you then its time to push back because they will never accept you for who you are and you can end up wasting if not half your life, your whole life
