I am happy for the update, it’s great. Something about your video in January sparked a fire in me to try to not buy planner supplies all year too. I have never gone this long before, it’s making me kind of use what I have and not switch around all the time. Good luck with the rest of the year.
Thanks! I was doing all that in the first couple months, also, and having fun doing it. I liked saying no to buying new things and finding out how I could solve problems with things I already had. I'm excited to begin again in July, it is an exciting challenge to attempt!
I own over 20 Pelikan FPs, most with gold nibs, but some with steel. I have found what you noted in your review: Pelikans tend to write ABOVE the grade that they rate their nibs. That is, the Fs tend to write like a M, the M like a broad, &c. So, after being disappointed with some of those pens I had with M nibs, I began to order F nibs. Light struck, however, when I ordered a special edition Pelikan from a vendor on Amazon. Only one pen was left, and it had an XF nib. I didn't want an XF, but I wanted the pen, so I ordered it, intending to swap it with a F nib from one of my other Pelikans (Pelikans have mostly interchangeable threaded nib units, but not the M300 series). Before making the swap, however, I inked the new pen and did some writing with it. I was happy to find that it wrote like a F, with excellent ink wetness and line, so I never did swap out the nib. I have a critique about about you video technique: Could you find some way to front-light yourself so that your face and the product(s) you are describing are better illuminated? It would make good vids even better.
