A lot of people have been asking how it is studying in Vancouver as an International Student. So I thought of compiling some of the questions about my life as a student in Canada. Hopefully this video will help clarify some of your concerns about studying in Canada. Hi po ate im really interested to study in canada for college (im currently on my 12th grade this year in ph) but im planning to take a vocational course so i could finish early... may relatives ka po ba dyan sa canada? I think mas mahirap po kasi if wala and ikaw lang talaga mag-isa (like me) so I have to take into account that po besides sa advice niyo. maraming salamat po, super helpful and God bless always

I am not an education advisor sorry :( But generally choose a program that will benefit you in your career. Are you choosing this program only for PR purposes? :(

Hello! Currently applying at UBC. Problem lang is they consider 4 year degrees saatin as 2 year degrees sakanila, thus need mo pa mag Masters. Although Engineering degree ko sa UST is a 5 year ABET accredited program, baka this would mean eligible na ako for direct admission?

Also studied sa UBC last 2018 for a student exchange program and met a professor there na would be willing to do my referral letter.

It really depends on your specific motivation, study plan, career goals and various other factors. Everyone is different. I will be launching my online course for DIYers very soon. I will also be teaching SOP and how to write an effective one.

hi rachel! i wanna know what would be the best electronic or gadget to use for school? iPad or Laptop?

It depends on what you use it for! If you like taking down notes or doodle illustrations, or do simple tasks such as typing and research, the iPad would suffice. However, there are applications or programs that are better for a laptop. I find myself gravitating to a laptop more bc I like editing videos 😊 Hope this helps!

Hi Ms. Rachel! Do u possibly know filipinos who are accepting students as boarders? My daughter will be going there in early March 2021 for her studies in VCC. She is currently on online classes here at home. I hope you can recommend an affordable place. Thanks.

Hi Emrei, right now I do not have a contact list for that but as for searching housing options you can try looking at rental listings from Kijiji, Craigslist and even Facebook Marketplace. 😊👍

Yes of course. You will have to explain your reasons well in your SOP or LOE. Make sure to provide evidence to back up your statements.

This may affect future applications with immigrations... like permanent residency, so best to abide by what’s stated in your immigration document ☺️

Hi dear, welcome to my channel! Good to have you here 🥰❤️ Finishing college or post secondary education is not a requirement in order to come to Canada. There are a lot of high school students that come here to get post-secondary education. However tuition may be higher, since international students pay a hefty price for Canadian education ☺️ And yes, you are allowed to choose your program since you are still figuring your career ☺️

Is there any advantage if dyan po talaga mag stastart ng college ng 4 years course im currently a grade 12 student and gusto kopo mag aral sa canada ng bs nursing? Dipo kaya mahirap? Puro 1 year course lang po kasi nahahanap kong vid tungkol sa mga international student🥺

Hi Camille, if there is no financial constraint of pursuing a degree/diploma in Canada- it’d be great cos you can bridge that towards PR in Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️ but that’s knowing you’ll be paying 3x more in tuition fees. Is your aim PR in Canada dear? ❤️☺️

Hi dear, I appreciate you asking that question. Unfortunately, since my study experience is only within Metro Vancouver- it’s hard for me to give my two cents on good schools located in Calgary (as im also located in British Columbia) But that’s something that google can do for you or other youtubers that went to school there! if you want to study as international student... the standard tuition is still 3-4x what domestic pays everywhere in Canada.

Hi Jean, according to CIC, you must have at least paid for tuition fees and have 10,000 CAD in settlement funds for yourself to come to Canada as an international student 😊👍
