When Selin Sermet, a third year Food Science & Nutritional Sciences student, decided to study at McGill University’s Macdonald Campus, she was ready for a change of pace. Having grown up in a small suburban town in Ontario before moving to Michigan, Sermet was excited about living in a vibrant city like Montreal. While living in Laird Hall her first year, she found comfort in the student community at Mac campus.
“Mac has a tight-knit community feel - you’ll get to recognize people around campus, and you’ll always have someone to sit with in class.”
Having settled into life at Mac, Sermet is now living in downtown Montreal with a roommate and fellow Mac student, making the most of the two worlds.
Hear what this McGill student has to say about life at Mac and in Montreal.
