I was watching a compilation of early 2000s ads and I slowly was starting to get a bit teary. I took these commercials for granted when I was little. Now we get just very boring and generic commercials instead.

4:37 I remember the Shirley temple vhs commercial. It may have been on a vhs or dvd I owned. The Stanley steamer and empire commercials were great even though Stanley steamer wasn’t on the video. Anyone remember those ring tone ads with like the crazy frog? I think it was called jamimals or something? Edit: Jamster is what it was called. There’s one weird one with a wedding that freaked me out as a kid. Speaking of freak out, those law firm ads were scary the Goldwater music.

Ah the car one heard of it/briefly seen it, I remember the toothbrush one. Some old ads judt they were like wow this stands out. From trailers to ads nowadays no matter the region its just boring. Why sell a product when you can make the most generic ad. What a formula yet no one wants to watch them. 1k views and under club. Pillow Pets sound cool. Ah how they made a good mix of ideas. Oh of course they wouldn't have been that great. Then again from the stick figures in the cubes to others products were amazing rven if not always the greatest. Irish, cheddar nice. Like a fish finger ad I've seen of the pirate like CGI animation. Zoo Pals huh interesting. They aren't rewashable? Otherwise yeah a expensive design/throw out. Interesting highlights. Its more for adults then kids yeah. Ah phone number ads. I forgot the one I heard of that besides the IT crowd ambulance parody one. Always interesting seeing different regions ads. Whether videos like this or people that look through VHS tapes or other approaches. The piracy one was only on DVDs but didn't do much. IT Crowd parodying it was also funny. As well as the better looking drivers/long number as the sinple one doesn't cut it anymore. Nowadays or at least in some partly older anime DVDs I have seen some tha ks for buying it ads and I'm like wow. You don't see them anymore but they are still there on some from a few years ago I have bought. I qent back to some of the 2000s Caddbiry ads with Beach Boys in it of World of Caddbury. Or the two kids with the balloon. Nowadays more simple ones. Oh she works at a gas/petrol station. Oh her dad gets her some chocolate. Its fine but its not magical with something strange or something mroe qow they made an animation for this. Like even some dog or cat food claymation or light sketches ads are better than most. Like sure I see an Insurance ad with some light drawings qith a jellyfish on the beach or them on a bouncy castle. But there is that and then there is as good as health insurance gets. Wow what magical writing everyone pat on the back. XD Thr Dove social media type ad was interesting. Not even intended for me but the girls you need to not pay attention to what you see online sort of thing. The mum asking if she is ok or something and the girl watching some beauty tutorial or ad or something. It really surprised me. Of course I've seen great bad tech ads before. Or some wild console/game ads. Nowadays trailers snore. Gameplay or more interesting ads not just a trailer I have already seen and didn't even like when I did see it at events anyways. Then again its rhat or the most bland you know you like waifus so we have this pathetic gacha game ad with them talking, sometimes bit of gameplay and I'm like no thanks. i know the business model, I know what type of games they are and they wouldn't interest me anyways besides that just the more basic ad or not even an ad in a way, I have taste in games before this pass. Or some of my telecommunication company ads with they built the great wall of china to keep the rabbits out (time to get the internet) or others and they are amazing. Some old ads of a food store that doesn't exist anymore RIP that discount food atore and only the more expensive one lives on. I remember a Bed police one qith people speeding apparently thats not on the nose of what do you mean by that logic in an ad. I assume sleeping hours but I mean you can't not think it means more.than that with the way its worded XD

Commercials now are all about anime sex sells it’s sad, also when you realize that elsagate is back again, it showing off sexual themes to mainly kids, RIP the good ads and commercials…

this video is pretty underrated!! i miss when companies would actually put effort into making their ads appealing and interesting. something that seems consistent with these nostalgic ads are the catchy music or jingles that were written for them. i wonder if people would skip ads less if companies started to make ads like these again?
