@@Person1865 Wait until you're barreling towards 60 when all you want to do is stay indoors all day and watch Netflix while ordering crap you don't need from Amazon. Hmmm. Maybe that is considered oversharing.
@@2legit64 oh I do a fair bit of that too. Probably exacerbated by the pandemic, though. I used to go out and do things and even though things are allegedly opening up, I've gotten out of the habit.
Can we have a movie about a woman who's not living life upside down, but just isn't married or doesn't have the most amazing job/family, etc.? Where are those ppl?
@geekyfraulein The wall is a real thing you loon. I however don't believe it should limit a woman. Woman become infertile far earlier than men do, FACT. That's why you still see those crusty old billionaires like Trump pumping out orange lumps of fake tan. Oh and men don't get better with age its just on average that they do. Women give birth and create life, their bodies unfortunately take a toll from this. Women have to sacrifice a lot when it comes to a pregnancy. Its why I wonder why so many of them do it out of pure ignorance.
Seems like a lot of people love to hate on Amy. Honestly the show doesn't seem bad. Doesn't seem amazing. Maybe it's just how they cut the trailer, but i'll watch a few episodes and see how it goes.
Because she is medicore yet seems to get more opportunities than she deserves because she appeals to a certain demographic which just put more emphasis on how medicore she is. Add to the fact she steals jokes so i can't even give her credit for being mediocre.
@@donjuan7358 She has been called out on it before(quick youtube search). Also the fact she gets better deals than black people when it comes to Netflix or podcasting puts more emphasis on how medicore she is as a comedian
@@donjuan7358 She doesnt. If you take any comedians hour, and deep fucking dive over 40 years of other comedians you will find similarities. Some people really hate Schumer, and put in that leg work. Accusing her of stealing jokes from female comedians back in the 70ies. It was ridiculous. She defended herself well on Rogan.
@cnmmd qiuoo It's true, the brain is responsible for feeling pain after all, it stands the reason the brain could trick itself into feeling physical pain that is not there.
Basically the same kind of character she keeps playing over and over. She's good at it, but I would've liked to see something different from her. I may watch anyway. We'll see.
This line worries me. Just read a New York times article about how often women and women of color especially with serious diseases have their symptoms dismissed as all in their heads because of unconscious bias on the part of their doctors. Maybe not tell this joke? Should let you know I have a conscious bias because I searched for years for an explanation for my symptoms and was told that I had anxiety when I really had multiple sclerosis. I may be nitpicking because of that.
Funny how no one ever says this kind of thing about male comedians like Adam Sandler or Kevin James or David Spade or Ben Stiller or Owen Wilson or even like, Michael Cera who's playing the same character he's ever been in this movie as well.
@@nessnixtony Our point exactly. They don't grow. It is indeed very unfair that society chooses to reward males with arrested development. It's because traditionally that demograph has had all the money so what they make and consume steers the course. Even more reason for others like Schumer to offer an alternative.. or sell out and join the deluge of mediocrity.
Will it only be on Hulu? I want to watch this but I can’t get another streaming service lol I already have Netflix, Stan, paramount, binge and Disney +
Michael Cera looks good in this. Performance wise but also the facial hair. Amy Schumer seems to be doing her usual thing. Probably not bad, but could have been a movie instead of a series.
Hey guys, remember that time Amy Schumer stole another comedian's jokes and then lied about it and then tried to act like it was no big deal? Those were the good ole days!
although the movie is getting a fair amount of hate, I like them two together. Cera is weird and perfect for this to be believable. Then again it probably makes sense to me bc Im black girl born in NY, raised in a heavy Jewish section of Bklyn, and sound like Fran Drescher and Rosie Perez had a baby.
It's not my cup of tea...kind of tired of watching everyone whining about life's problems. These shows are usually for actors who no longer get movie roles. I personally never really found Amy to be that funny. Just my opinion.
Oh look - Amy Schumer being sad/destructive with where she is in her life, and looking for love so she can change and finally be happy. Stop me if you've seen this one before...
Amy's beginnings in comedy were... full of weird and sometimes creepy tropes? I always wanted her to harness her potential more and I feel like this series is definitely going in that direction! I'm glad to see she's doing well in acting.
can't wait for this. love Amy Schumer ❤ update: I'm on episode 6 and this is so refreshing for Amy. nothing over the top but great, witty dialogue and characters that you want to be friends with.
You know what people saying that Amy Schumer and Michael Cera being a couple is odd... But like people who are in relationships IRL... I'm not going to finish it. Put two and two together..
It feels like any time there's a series about a woman of her age it has to be about her trying to find love. Jesus, there's more to life than this, ladies. If not, what was the point of women's liberation? I just find it insulting.
