Wapiti station was just some bear and soil research. Ned just tricked you into thinking it was more to cover up his mistakes listening in on you. the tracker is for tracking collars or whatever for bears . the male and female clipboard is just about bears.
Man, I fucking loved Firewatch. It got me for reasons I don't wanna get into, but man... The whole goddamn game is about being unable to escape your problems. No matter how hard you try, no matter how far you go, your problems are still with you. Every goddamn character is trying to run, but can't, from their issues. Got me good m8, got me good.
Intriguing story but the ending felt kinda... anticlimactic? Is this really all there is to it? Maybe I just missed some things but seems like there's a lot of loose ends
Exactly... what eas up with the phone call we werent supposed to hear at the beginning? It felt like they tried to jam feelings down our throat with the opening sequence so we gave a shit about henry but it didnt work lol
That's the point. A lot of the suspicious activity was just Ned trying to spook people away from finding out about his son's accident, and everything else is innocuous coincidence. The game focuses almost entirely on the human personal experience, and ultimately most of the things which happen in life are not some huge climatic adventure with everything connecting and working out. Henry's not some hero who dismantles a great conspiracy and gets the girl in the end. He's just a regular guy going through life like everyone else. The appeal of it isn't to be bombastic or deeply profound on some universal or political truth, it's to show the beauty and mundanity of the human experience.

This game makes you realize not every waking moment is good or evil, conspiracy and romance, sometimes it’s just. Mundane. And the mundane can weigh just as much as everything else if you open your eyes to it.

For a fun game to 100%, try out West of Loathing. It's an old west RPG with simple stickman characters, and it might be the funniest game I've ever played. Even the character classes, abilities, and the stupid game options are hilarious. There's a wide variety of achievements, including some good challenge with Hard mode and Hard mode with no game overs. You can choose from a variety of partners and horses to start the game with. There's all kinds of neat secret content, things you can only do if you unlock the heroic or evil options, you can even become the Necromancer instead of defeating them. The DLC for true 100% is also very fun and changes the gameplay from gunslinging combat and exploration to solving a mystery in a haunted mansion. If I may backseat one thing, check the bookshelf in the starting room until you find a special book that improves the entire game.
my boyfriend made me play this game and honestly i didnt enjoy it. at the end i just felt like there was no point in this whole story and it just made me feel sad and empty. i know the whole point is that you cant just escape your life, you'll have to face it eventually, but like i want to play a game to let me escape for a bit, to feel warm and fuzzy, when real life is hard to deal with.
