Hindus have always been a small minority in this area. They were never here in large numbers. They were never even close to being 30%. Most of them are not even natives but migrants from Punjab which came here as traders and such and ended up staying here. Most Afghan Hindus and Sikhs do look different from the local population, you can see from their faces. The ones that don’t mostly likely mixed with the locals over time. Let’s not inflate numbers and create false history. Additionally I see you wrote “Hindu koh” when the most accept etymology for this is “Hindu KUSH”, in other words Hindu killer mountain, because Mahmood of Ghanzi brought back slaves from India and marched them across the mountains to different slave trading areas which resulted in many of them dying as they marched. Also these Hindu shahi which you bring up were from Pakistan not Kabul, they were from the banks of the indus, that’s where there center of power was, not in Kabul. They briefly ruled the former Turk shahi territory after the Turk shahis fell, but shortly after they feld back to where they came from in NW Pakistan. They were eventually crushed by the Ghazanivd armies when they invaded what is now Pakistan. I won’t even go into what that guy was saying about “5000 years ago” and Gandhara, he’s straight up making up his own version of history, it’s laughable to be honest.

I took part in Kabul census 1965; the population of Kabul was 450,000 people. Among them 45,000 Hindus. All documented. The Hindus lived in Shore Bazaar, the most populated part of Kabul. The population of Kandahar was 100,000, 30,000 Hindus. There are hundreds of thousands of Kandahari Hindus living in India and other parts of the world. Kandahar had 24 Hindu temples and they are still there. Kabul Bazaar and Shikarpur Bazaar were pretty much all Hindu. There was no Afghanistan until 1747. Kabul and Kandahar were Hindustan cities. Mahmoud Ghaznavi was Turkish working for the Iranians. He conquered Kabul in 1002 AD and converted many of the Hindus. However he couldn’t convert all the Hindus. You are right that the NW Pakistan was also ruled by the Hindus, however not taken over by Mahmud.

@@spts4747 Calling Kabul and Kandahar "Hindustan cities" is completely false and honestly laughable. if you mean the Mughal empire, they were of Uzbek origin, in fact Babur himself the founder of the "Indian" Mughal empire himself considered these cities outside and SEPARATE from Hindustan! a direct quote from Baburs book when he is describing the geography of Hindustan: "The country of Hindustan is extensive, full of men and full of produce....North west of it lie Kabul, Ghazni and Kandahar". Babur also wrote about how much he dislikes the weather in Hindustan and wanted to go back to Kabul where the weather is much nicer. this is just ONE example of DOZENS i can give, which shows your claim is totally false. This area has always been contested for control between Mughals and safavids. they fought many battles over it. Eventually the safavid took control, but due to the oppressive nature of the way they governed, resulted in the uprising of the Hotaks and the Safavids falling. 1747 is when the Durrani empire was created, before that the area was controlled by the Afshirids of Iran whom Ahamd shah durrani played an important military role in their army. Babur and his sons controlled this area long before they even set foot into India. before them it was the Timiruds and prior to that Mongols. Nothing "Hindustan" about either of these cities. Mahmoud wasnt "working for the Iranians" he himself controlled Iran. He was half turk from father side and half native from the ghazni area on his mothers side. by the time Mahmood came into power, the area was already majority Muslim and his Muslim army was made up largely of the native people. also your claim about the hindu population contradicts other sources, such as in the 1800s the Indian traveler Mohan Lal estimated their number to only be a few thousand....also around that time there was a large Armenian colony in Kabul, joined by some Georgians. These people were not native to the region either, but came here, just like the Hindus as merchants and traders. Does that make Kabul an Armenian city? of course not. And 24 Hindu temples doesn't mean anything, there are over 2000 mosques in Paris, so according to your logic Paris is a Muslim city? lol. Bottom line is, twist and turn it anyway you like, Hinduism was never a major religion here among the NATIVE people, these Hindus today, such as the people in the video are not native, they came here as merchants and traders only a couple centuries ago, and this is well documented. by the way, i looked through your old comments from your older videos and you yourself admit that the Hindus who live here are not native! lol.

I didn’t mention who ruled who. Regarding the temples, the Hindus were not allowed to construct new temples. All the temples were from the pre-Islamic times. You are right 24 temples are not a lot. It is a fact that Kabul and Kandahar were part and parcel of Hindustan until 1707 when Aurangzeb ruled. Then Nader Shah Afshar took over. The Hindus comprised of 1% to 2% of the population of the country. That brings the number to 300,000 to 700,000. Many of them were massacred in the country and the rest were forced to leave. Majority of them live in Hindustan. There are close to 50,000 living in Germany, 40,000 in UK, 12,000 in the USA, and 5,000 in Canada. May be 10,000 in other countries. You have read the History books, but the Hindus are the History.

Just because the uzbek Mughals who ruled from India had control of over the cities for a time, doesn't make it "Part of Hindustan" in the way you are implying. Durranis controlled large parts of North India, does that make it part of Afghanistan? of course not. and before the Mughals the cities were controlled by Timiruds, does that make them mongol cities? of course not. After the Mughals lost control of the cities it was controlled by Afrishrids under Nader Shah, does that now mean they are Persian cities? of course not, because that's now how it works. I showed you , Babur, the founder of the Indian Mughal empire did not include these cities into Hindustan. neither do many other sources, there is no room for debate. That is irrefutable and undeniable. This area has never been considered part of "Hinduistan". whats also interesting is that even though we call them "Indian" most of the Mughal leadership was made up of non indian people, they were Turkic, Persian, Arab or Afghan. According to the worldpopulationreview site, it is estimated in 1700 the area now known as afghanistan had a population of 2.5 million, so 2%(even this 2% is too high in my opinion) of 2.5 million is only 50000, no where near what you claim. the 50,000 number also matches more closely with eye witness accounts of the area from that time period. We have accounts of the cities from the 18-19th century and the writers do acknowledge the Hindu existence, but the number is much smaller than what you claim, and almost ALL sources connect them with merchants that settled in these areas. Indian Hindu merchants were found all over the region, From isfahan to Bukhara and all cities in between, there were pockets of Hindu merchants that settled in these areas. As I mentioned before, you yourself, in comments on your other videos acknowledged the fact that most of the Hindus are ethnically Punjabi and moved here from somewhere else, these are your own words! and no surprise, the people in this video have last names such as kapoor and mehra, which are of Punjabi origin. Just to be clear so there is no misunderstanding, I am not saying these people deserve less rights or should be persecuted. I believe all humans should be treated with respect regardless of their background. I am just against making up false history or inflating numbers. You are Hindu so i understand why you have a bias, but still some claims made are just ridiculous. One gentlemen in this video claims something about "5000 years ago", but 5000 years ago the migration of the Aryans which brought the indo-european languages to this region had not even happened yet, Sanskrit is an indo-european language, so how does that even make any sense? its nonsense. Many more examples of this can be given.
