Having lived in most capitals around Australia for varying lengths of time, I settled in Canberra as it was the most family friendly, small and quiet and good job opportunities.
Some public transport is good - for example in our part of suburban Sydney for those living within a reasonable walking distance of the train line. But the much lower density of many areas means that rovision of train services is just non-economic.
Prices for fruit and vegetables will wildly vary throughout the year, at the moment a punnet of strawberries is $2.50 where as out of season they could be $8-9
there are plenty of misconceptions about prices the big one I hear all the time is the cost of alcohol....I checked it on Amazon it's just not true. A bottle of Glenfiddich is $74.00 Au in the Uk $66.00 so even though it is more expensive it's not much more expensive, same with beer Peroni was a similar price Asahi hardly any difference, it was hard to compare because the brand within a brand is different and the size of the bottle or can is different. when you have to add on the cost of getting it here it ain't that bad .Another one is coffee , average cost here is $4.50 to 5.20 for a straight coffee , Uk up to $7.20 yes that's correct I watched a video on coffee tasting , and it was in the UK ,and they gave the costs so let's put that to bed.I remember buying an ice cream 10 years ago in Green Park and it was 5 pound I nearly passed out as I was used to paying a couple of dollars and the taxi fare was just crazy and the train from Heathrow was over $125.00 man they rip you off crazy in London. Food quality was no where near as good as here and it was expensive , Steak was rubbish, I hada meal in a pub with a group of Americans and we all agreed that steak was probably only good for resoling my shoes..I stayed in a 5 star hotel in Mayfair once again expensive and would rate it 3.5 stars here. Plus the place was a mad house, transport was crowded and confusing buses were packed to the brim people were falling out the doors , I ended up with my head throbbing from the rat race of London.

Life in Africa is better than life in Australia and UK if the colonizers can leave us alone. Love from Sydney. No place like Africa. Money is not everything.
Your corrupt leaders abi colonisers ? Are the colonisers the ones forcing our governors and senators to divert public funds into their private accounts?
