Hey!
As most of you may know i did a 6 months semester exchange to Groningen, The Netherlands and this are the documented footages i took during my exchange semester. I would say that this was the best experience i have ever had and i am in love with Groningen, many of you may not know where it is but its really an amazing town. Hope you enjoy this video, it means a lot to me. Thank you!

What Uni doesn't tell you: during your first months as an international in Groningen, you'll either be homeless or paying 100 euros per night for a hotel/hostel, since finding student accommodation is nearly impossible. Consider yourself lucky if you've found your first accommodation by December, and be prepared to pay 700+ euros per month for a small room with shared facilities. The University doesn't care though, as long as you pay your tuition fees

I got scammed on my first accommodation but I was really lucky to have found a good room for a great price in a short period of time after. Some luck and belief might just land you in a great experience and adventure. #manifest #lawofattraction ☺️

Thanks so much for uploading this video. I was on my exchange in Groningen in the same period of yours. Such a pity that we did not know each other. This beautiful video reminds me of so much good times that I considered are the most precious in my uni life. I can not thank enough of you to do the elegant edition vlogs , and those music of the background are in nice taste as well. It's so nice to be given a chance to think about Groningen again, I will always miss Groningen. I know Groningen will hold a special place in your heart also. Massive thanks to share this with the world, and especially to those who were once in Groningen doing exchange, and sharing mostly the same things as you.

Hello, It was during the end of winter, through spring and summer! ENJOY! It's going to be amazing :) Join the ESN Community, I found a lot of friends through the introduction week. As for the weather it's really hard to say ^_^ Winter was super cold, spring was beautiful and summer was hot and humid but still bearable, sometimes rainy and windy!

Hello! I’m planning on spending my next fall semester in Groningen through Erasmus as well, this video was really helpful. I have so many questions though and nobody to ask, so I would appreciate it if you could help. If you get accepted to study in the University od Groningen for a semester do you have to find accomodation entirely on your own beforehand or does the Uni ‘give’ you one? And could you please tell me how much did your accomodation cost per month?

Hey! I’m glad this video helped you. From my experience you would need to find your own accommodation, there is a website on the university website where you can find a list of options. You should book it in advance because it’s really hard to get a room if you book it at the last minute. I was lucky to get my accommodation and it cost about €289 but on average should be around €300-450 it depends. :)

Hello,nice video.I am considering studying in Groningen next fall but I am worried that I would have some financial problems so can you or anyone who has been studied there can tell me how much money you spent per month? Thank you so much :)

Hello Aysima, Thanks! I can't exactly remember but it was about 500 euros a month. But it really depends on how you plan to segregate your spending such as food, transportation, rent, shopping! Generally, you shouldn't need so much if you cook your own and for transportation, you just need to buy a bike :). Hope that helps!
