I reaaly wanna know, is nori a common food in NE india or was it popularized after anime and kpop ? Because I've seen a lot of NE vloggers use typically east asain ingredients and it made me wonder if they were also traditionally used in NE india
It was popularized by anime/kpop. NE cuisine has some similar vegetables/cooking style with East Asian foods. But these days the youths are going crazy about Korean and Japanese food because of Kpop and Anime.
But for me ppl here prefer to sit on low height tables and eat. We basically eat rice and along with some other ingredients. Idk if this is similar to Korea.
@imperfection9986 I don't think so. Even before anime was popular. People used to eat it but rarely from where I am since it's not near the sea. But even now not many people eat nori. 😅 I have eaten once in my lifetime. It's not really that common. Just some people eat it.
@@i-pf7hv very few people on rare occasions used to eat it before. I said popularized because it's available more now as compared to say 10 years back. And all that is because people know more about it and want to eat it because they saw it after watching kdramas or anime
