Love your videos covering lesser known places in South Korea. I think The Wailing and plenty of other great movies were based around this region. When was this filmed? Because I expected heavy snow to cover the whole of South Korea these days.
Hi~i am Jenny(-woman) Korean running small travel sgency. I want to suggest travelling together while i serve driving. instead. My instagram name is koreadmztrip^^
Uhm I'm sorry, am I the only one who actually started tearing up watching this? It was so beautiful for some reason, the music, the sun, the tea and the blanket. *sob*
Kudos to Cari for taking us along with her on these beautiful adventures on the other side of the world, especially while we are staying put in our places. Everything about her videos is comforting. Thanks a ton, Cari!
Even i'm Korean i've never been there, so i'm jealous of you. Everything in Cheongsong makes you feel calm and happy. I wish you could have a fun journey.
That was some misty morning magic! I really enjoy your interesting facts, thank you for including them. They will one day make my trip to Korea much more full filling. This was the best weekend vacation/field trip video 🥰
The guesthouse owner and everyone checking in on you because you were alone is so sweet!!! My heart 😢❤ And those mountains are just amazing... the shot of that big one and the bridge in front😍
Been feeling so tired from quarantine, been inside my house for almost 9 months now and ive been really missing going out and doing things even though most of the time being outside is a big source of anxiety for me. Your videos have been amazing and so good for me in keeping me hopeful for a better time, thank you so much as always for sharing your adventures with us
Thank you for visiting my village. Actually, my aunt runs a restaurant there. The bear mascot is just an image. There are no bears there. However, wild boar, water deer, and Mamushi live. and the hotteok you ate was made by my family awesome
The first thing I do when I woke up today is watching this vlog. It’s feels like I’m in a dream travelling with Cari 🥺 Truly a calming video full with beautiful nature 🥰
Cari I have to thank you because your videos make me feel calm and bring peace to me, especially today I was feeling stressed and anxious and this made me really calm. Also, that place is gorgeous! Definitely going there when I go to Korea
Omg, I'd forgotten about the morning mists! I used to love that! My great aunt lived in a hanok, and every time I visited her, I loved everything about it (other than the inconvenient bathrooms). I loved the clean and simple rooms, loved the simpler lifestyle, and I loved stepping out of my room and being engulfed in mist. It was, well, magical to me. This video definitely made me tear up and miss Korea so much. Beautifully done.
Ahhhh Cari. You’re hiking/ exploring blogs are always so soothing. The shots, the editing, the music choices. I’ve personally said it before as has many others but thank you for these. During a stressful quarantine these are always a breath of crisp fresh air 🙏❤️
Besides being a BTS fan, you make me want to go to South Korea more and more after each video! I look forward to your videos because I know I will always get food or scenery. Depending on COVID next year I will be going to Japan and possibly South Korea after that! Fingers crossed! Giving you a virtual hug from NJ! :)
I love watching these. I moved out to the Australian desert this year and I'm really missing seeing water and seasonal changes. It's a great way to relax and escape for a bit. Thankyou 😊
I rarely comment but can I just say I have been watching you for a while, your shooting skills have improved massively. For someone who is travelling alone & shooting themselves too, every clip is so professional. Keep it up!
I love your adventures to random places and how you always seem to meet such lovely people along the way! Makes me remember my Korean adventures and gets me excited for when I can come back and do more exploring. Thanks for taking us along :)
Autumn Ju Wang mt has extremely mysterious colored trees and many huge rocks which have gorgeous shapes. Totally it's so beautiful. Easy to climb up along the way to the top. It will take only 2~3hours to go to the top. I hope you enjoyed it a lot.😊👍
Yay, another vlog I watch just before I go to sleep! Hehe :) And oh my.....it‘s beautiful. Perfect to relax and get all the not so good things off my mind! And that foggy, misty morning....it looks stunning!
Oh my~ that chicken sounds like calling mom far away in a galaxy~. Thanks for letting me enjoying the beauties of nature in Korea. Ah.. the 'Han-ok' looks so 'wow~' indeed.
i cannot stress how absolutely mind-blowing the nature is! irl heart eyes watching this (✿ ♥‿♥) another outstanding video from you, phenomenal job cari!
Why would anyone dislike this vlog? 3 thumbs down? Keep up the good work! Your vlogs makes me happy. I haven't visited korea in almost 20 years and to see it through this channel is wonderful!
these videos are really sustaining me atm. I'm stuck in Perth with no prospective of travelling anywhere anytime soon, despite having all these awesome trips planned before the pandemic. I'm sooo happy and wistful anytime a video of your comes out =') Thank you so so much for sharing with us. Please dont feel guilty or pressured if you cant share them all, I just want you to know how grateful I am Cari x lots of love from Perth, WA
Long ago, I remember climbing to the top of Juwangsan Mountain when I started hiking with the goal of climbing the top 100 famous mountains in Korea. I remember the beautiful scenery of eagles flying over the sunset sky while lying on the peak of a huge rock. It was a mysterious and wonderful experience as if I were in another world. When I went down the mountain, I remember I was a little scared that the sun would already fall and a bear would appear in the dark forest.^^
Largely inspired by your vlogs, I drove from Dallas to southern Utah and hiked my heart out during this past Thanksgiving week. The awe inspiring desert mountain landscape was STUNNING. I felt like I was on Mars or Narnia the whole time! I'm so glad to see you did the same!
Hi Cari, this video means so much to me! I started crying when you started stroking that dog (so cute!!) and it only got worse throughout the video. Seeing such beautiful nature, even on a screen, gave me the most amazing cathartic release of all my emotions, all my frustration and sadness, all my stress and anxiety. I just realised how much I missed my family and my dog, as I've been stuck at uni since July, but this video reminded me how special they are to me. When I get back home, I can't wait to go walking up the cliffs and fields and forests where I live with them. The beauty of Korea reminds me so much of home 💕
Starting sunday morning with your video is the perfact thing to do ! i've visited cheongsong and juwangsan 10years ago it really brings me a lot of memory. thank you cari! i really miss that time
I was just about to check your Instagram to see if you had a new video soon and then this popped up on my notifications. Needed a boost of happiness and calm ✨Thank you so much Cari 💕
I promise I paid attention and loved every second of your hike (national parks junkie, at your service), but the thing that made me smile the biggest was the pillow of your dog from home on your couch - so cute!!
Coming in to leave a comment to remind me to watch later once I have cleaned my house and can unwind and watch your video because they are always so calming!
@@caricakes Cari, your video where you made the apple cake in the rice cooker has inspired me to make some mini apple bread/apple cakes and this video just cemented my resolve to bake apple things haha
I want Cari to tour me around South Korea 💖💖💖 her videos always makes me wanna explore and go on an adventure. And Cari always reminds me that traveling alone could be so fun as well!
I didn’t know that Hanoks (?) were like that to be “natural friendly”! Always learning something new with you and really happy that you got prepared for the hike. Oh, I think I’ve never tell you that, BUT you always puts the best songs ever in your videos and that’s makes the role experience so much better, thank you so much for it. And please stay warm in this winter ok?! Lots of loooove
thank you so much!! and yes, even korean gardens are typically going with the flow of nature rather than french or japanese style gardens that tend to really change the nature if that makes sense^^
I just have to say it freaked me out how in the end you said "sorry that the laundry machine just started" because mine had literally started a couple seconds before you said it lol but lovely video!! the sound of chickens remind me of my hometown hahah so cute
How have I been watching your videos religiously for three years and not known that Cari was short for Caroline?! Am I crazy or have you never mentioned it? Haha
Cari, thank you so much for taking me to much missed Korean autumn sights. So comforting to watch your beautifully made videos. It’s very interesting and beautiful to see Korea through your eyes.
Thank you for your kind introducing of cheongsong, juwang mountain It's So so beautiful mountain! I feel autumn full from your vidio I envy Cari, you are so beautiful
This vlog makes me want to travel so much. Looks beautiful, food is amazing. Thanks for sharing. First World problem during covid, I know. But still: we don't even have mountains where I live.
Can’t really go anywhere right now and I miss travelling so much so I am living vicariously through your videos! Fall in Korea is so visually pleasing, absolutely beautiful. Thank you for this 💕
Everything looked so dreamy! A couple logistical questions: Could you have gotten from your hanok to the mountain on public transport or just taxi? Any tips for those of us who don’t speak Korean? Are there any hotels/Airbnbs in town close enough to walk to the trails but also close to the bus station? (Can you tell I’m an anxious person who is terrible with public transport?)
A taxi would be much easier, since the buses dont run often there and it would take more than an hour, versus a 15 min taxi :) But one thing you could do, is take the bus from Seoul directly to Juwangsan (its on the same bus route i took) and get off there. You can find guesthouses right there so you can stay next to the mountain and you dont need to rely on public transportation. When you're heading back to Seoul, you can just take the bus back like I did!! From Dong Seoul Bus Terminal to Juwangsan and back! Only one round-trip bus to worry about :)
I'm so glad you've started hiking more. I've been to dozens of Korean mountains and as luck would have it, when I went to Juwangsan the trails were closed due to fire danger during the dry season. Love your editing work. Always nice to curl up and travel virtually with you.
This channel is a jewel in pearls. Thank you for sharing the beautiful scenery of Korea. From today on, I'm going to put my finger on it and love this channel.
This is the closest to nature as I can get and thank you for sharing this. I've started watching your vlogs this year just before covid. I swear 2020 would not be complete without your vlogs. 🥰❤
You visit so many interesting places- I want to teach English in Korea and your videos are making me so excited to live there and experience all the beauty and culture it has to offer
