Because it is a cultural and religious thing, banning Alcohol and night clubs made us as Kuwaitis able to enjoy our times in different ways. I know it is hard for Westerners to adapt to this lifestyle, however, it will give you another meaning of joy. You don’t have to drink or go to a night club to have fun. There are other ways to do so. I am Kuwaiti but I study in Australia, my Australian friends keep asking me “ wait, do you really don’t drink? .. Oh, you don’t go to night clubs! Oh that’s boring” No it is not boring at all. In Melbourne instead of going out for a drink or a night club, I go and have a walk on Yarra river, I go and watch a movie, I go to concerts, I just have a walk in the CBD, I go to a cafe, meet my friends in the mall, go for a dinner cruise, hire a boat and drive it in the river, go and visit heaps of the nice places melbourne has to offer, most of them they don’t even know them. Being a Kuwaiti, made me able to enjoy my time in every way, whereas my Aussie friends only spend their night at night clubs. For me, their lifestyle is boring not mine, I am enjoying my time in both Kuwait and Australia. Also, for example, if I go to country/ or a city or a town in Australia for a holiday, and then I realise: oh there is nothing much to do here, I can still enjoy my time and this holiday may become the best I’ve ever had.

Accurate and fair comparison unlike other westerners. Kuwait is a very underrated country mainly bc lack of "alcohol/nightclubs" tbh I like that! I like the relaxed nature of my country I don't want it to be full of tourist and lose that calmness and uniqueness.

I was in Kuwait in 1975 till 1990 I left Kuwait 2 days before the iraq Kuwait war I love Kuwait and Kuwait People

Kuwait has amusement parks and ice skating rinks and now there are even Trampoline parks and escape rooms basically most indore activities

you don't need alcohol/nightclubs to have fun ,Kuwait is a very safe place to live .kuwait is a very small country with less population so trains and stuffs like that is not really needed as everyone owns cars and bus system is really cheap and fairly nice .

The ME is generally HOT! But, in winter, places like Riyadh in KSA, get a week or so of huge rainstorms, that completely overflow the city's drainage systems, and cause massive chaos on the highways and freeways. When it gets really cold, at night, there are often snowfalls, too. I lived and worked in Riyadh for over 4 years, and never got into a traffic accident, which is incredible, when I look back on it.

I worked and lived in Abu Dhabi for several years. Didn't have a car, because taxis were so cheap, and there were loads of them. This was back in the 1980s.

Very nice and fair comparison. If i will add something it’s that Kuwait is a living life country and dubai is a commercial project. That’s why dubai is much more expensive in spending.

Interesting points you’re making about Kuwait👍🏻 Speaking of freedom of press, Kuwait was the number 1 middle eastern country in freedom of press back in 2010. It surpasses Israel & ranked 60th on the world. But then due to the failure of Arab spring, freedom of press had dropped in Kuwait (as the entire region) last time I checked it’s ranked 103 globally. Even though it’s still number 1 among the GCC countries & among the top 3 Arab countries.

I was living in Dubai for more than 6 years, and I'm planning to move to Kuwait, you forgot to talk about jobs opportunities and I think Kuwait is the best place to get a job rather than Dubai is the best place for tourism and shopping.

You can go skatting in Kuwait ; there is an ice skatting rink in Soor street & its was the first in the region.

You can still drive from Kuwait to Bahrain, to many cities in Saudi Arabia and to Iraq. You can also take a ferry to Iran. In terms of cultural mentality, a lot of Emirati people are more traditional than Kuwaitis, but we both preserve our Islamic and Arab social values such as family, generosity and hospitality. We are maybe lacking in the Entertainment sector in the mean time, and we don’t have huge flashy events like Dubai does, which is a global metropolis intended for Tourism to diversify UAE's revenue, but Kuwait is still in development - we'll get a metro soon. Look up ‘Madinat al-Hareer’, this why the ‘Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway’ was built for.

I have a feeling that I'm gonna love Kuwait more ....maybe because I wouldn't like living in a flashy and sorta glamorous place for long ,.....also Kuwait is quite similar to Qatar right

Dubai Rocks...

In Kuwait their is three branches of gov 1. Legislative that are selected by the people of kuwait, they make the laws . Then 2. You have the executive they are the ones that enforce the laws and they make some laws that needs approval from the legislative branch which is parliament. 3. Judicial branch of government that is separate and independent from they other 2 branches of gov.

No bus??? I was teaching in Kuwait and took the bus many times. Taxis were so cheap that it was actually better than public transport.

Kuwaiti people are a lot more liberal compared to Emirati people, that is known. Emirati people are more traditional.

Yeah most people have this misconception Emiraties are more conservative on the contrary to Kuwaities even though their country sells alcohol and has night clubs it's kinda weird lol

I think I would go for Kuwait.

Kuwait isn't really dry, everything you want is here if you have the right connections, and I mean EVERYTHING! The lack of humidity is the only thing that keeps me in Kuwait.

Kuwait is by far the most opened society in the entire GCC indeed and always has been, at least since I first travelled and lived in the Gulf in the 80s. Granted, Bahrain follows near.

I definitely agree with u but regarding bars and alcohol in the UAE outside Dubai and Abu Dhabi it's pretty much just like Kuwait
