Remember the Greenstones on Rhodesian tv doing tributes to the trophies etc Very talented. Am now a kiwi and would love to know what happened to them. Asked locals but no one has ever heard of them
Aren't they from New Zealand? They visited Rhodesia and recorded this album together with John Edmond. I found the site of a man involved in the production of this record
Found this: "The Greenstones were two musicians from New Zealand, Dave North and Okke Hansen, who had heard about Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), its hospitality and the warmth and friendliness of all its peoples, and they then decided to tour the country. After meeting up with John Edmond they stayed on for some time and recorded the album “Life In Rhodesia” in 1974. All the songs were written by John, and he also arranged the album. The Greenstones then visited South Africa where they toured the country with Four Jacks & A Jill. Recording line up on the album: 1. Dave North - vocals and acoustic guitar 2. Okke Hansen - vocals, banjo, acoustic Guitar and kalimba 3. Glynn Storm - piano, organ, clarinet and synthesizer 4. Andy Slabber - bass guitar 5. Gordon Weedy - drums and percussion 6. Trevor Rabin - lead acoustic and electric guitars 7. John Edmond - acoustic guitar & harmonica 8. Laura Hansen - vocals"
