I've said it before and I'll say it again - your vlogs are so good, the atmosphere, the editing, the warmth of honest, simple human relationships. 4 generations of a normal harmonious family gathered around the holiday table. Is there anything more beautiful than that?❤❤❤ I won't comment on the food, I'm looking forward to August so I can let all my senses enjoy it.🤗 Irina and the coin from pogaca is the most beautiful part.🥰
Your stays in Serbia are harmonious. Your videos have such a chill vibe. Glad you always enjoy your time there. Lovely to see you and Irina bonding with the in-laws. God Bless you, Dejan, Irina and entire family.♥️
What a beautiful and seemingly kind Spirited family. Blessings to all and thanks so.much for taking the time to share such lovely and informative videos. I've also tried a few of these dishes and they are delicious. :)
Love your Serbian family! Irina looks adorable as always 🥰 When I visited Budapest I had goulash and noticed how similar it was to Tanzanian beef stew! I had it with rice so it was basically wali nyama 🤣
It is sauerkraut, that's the winter version of the meal, but we also make it with vine leaves, which is a late summer, early fall version, or with nettle or greens which would be a spring dish
Is Dejan also Muslim, or is your marriage interfaith? I've been subscribed to you and watching your videos for a long time, yet I was today years old when I found out you're Muslim! (Or, maybe you mentioned it in the past and I forgot, lol.) That stuffed cabbage and goulash looks so appetizing! And, 19:27-19:47 looked ssoo delicious, all that food!😋 Edit: Nevermind, you answered my question. Your marriage is interfaith. I didn't get this far into the video when I asked my question, haha.
all great but you are not a muslim, you might think you are, but you are as far from a muslim as I am and I was born i central Serbia with like 15 generations orthodox christian.
This video should come with a disclaimer: don’t watch while hungry! 😂 all this food looks amazingggg and being 38 weeks pregnant I want it all! Nom nom nom 😋 Mail me some so I can get a taste of Serbia!!!
Those "plumbing issues" are usually lack of fiber. There is plenty of fiber included in our dishes. Veggies and fruit are your friends. Btw, with dishes like sarma, you invest 4-5 hours, but you should make a larger batch so you skip cooking tomorrow and you can easily freeze it. We have a saying that sarma tastes even better the day after (probably because the cabbage gets softer when you heat up the food).
I adore your videos so much! Something about your editing skills, the atmosphere you create with the great background videos. And just YOU, Slim!! You're one of my favourite RU-vidrs. I was so pleased to see that this video was 23 minutes long. Thanks for the treat! :)
I’m 7th day Adventist so I don’t eat pork either, however that never stops me from enjoying Serbian food when I’m here. I’m leaving this Sunday and I’m so sad! 😭 about to ask my Baba to make some sarma but with grape leaves🥰 it’s so nice to see you enjoying many of these Serbian Dishes, I wish more people knew about 🇷🇸 cuisine 😭
Most Serbian/Croatian SDA who I know who live in UK eat pork but not in all forms which is really funny. Some eat pork from spit (pecenje) They would eat sarma made with pork but not pork chops. Most of them drink alcohol and smoke
Okay, I'm on my 3rd video of yours and on my way down the rabbit hole. Lol ;) Also, Thrive is a great company to use. Congratulations on the sponsorship. :) Just subscribed.... A Proud Snacker 🙋🏽♀️ :)
Wow, I am Serbian & I want to lay my bones in this country. But after watching this video, you just reminded me of the abundance here! Thank you! Hope you enjoy yourself here! May God bless your soul! 😍
You really should start doing hair videos and start a hair care product line. You have the longest 4c hair I have ever seen. Other influencers are making bank doing this and helping out the community (us 4c girlies.) I NEED to know what you are doing. I used to do braids but, they always broke off my hair; I'm also 4c btw. All the 4c girls ik there hair doesn't go past their chin (literally every single girl.) It's all wigs, braids, weave...please teach us your secrets!!
It's not the additives. The US grows hard wheat and the EU grows soft wheat. The idea of organic isn't exactly what everyone thinks it is. The reason why it seems this way in the states is because labeling is different between countries. Edit: I just realized that my comment seems patronizing that is not what I meant. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ Great Video!!
I'm not sure about the EU, you might be right, but Serbia is a completely different animal😁. We in Serbia just don't like packed stuff, for the meat we prefer to go to the butcher shop instead of a supermarket, for the vegetables and fruits we go to the farmers market. But yes you are right it's not organic food completely, we do use fertilizers and pesticides on our crops so that excludes the food from being organic. As there is completely organic food here in Serbia but it's pretty expensive, and it's mostly grown for exports. But the difference is that we don't process our food with the exception of a few things, like pates or meat cuts and such, and we don't eat those very often. You would be surprised at how few people here have an allergy to some food, I for one have never met anyone in Serbia who is allergic to peanuts for example, and I'm 40yo. BTW that's one thing to keep in mind here, no one will warn you about nuts in the food if there is any
I love watching your vlogs..this is just a side note, you're hair looks so healthy could you please post something out your care routine? Lots of love💞
