What's really being all the MJ hate from Pippen. Is he trying to sell books, or he's really mad about Jordan always being the center of attention he always wanted?
I think Scottie just trying to sell books and a bit jealous of MJ getting more praise. But he knows deep down inside without MJ Scottie wouldn't have been that relevant if he ended up playing for the SuperSonics because that team was Gary Payton's and Shawn Kemp was the #2 guy.
I'm betting Jordan probably told Pippen way in their playing days to don't wife her, and he still did. Now he imagining him saying "told you so" everytime he see someone have a turn on Larsa 😂
Throughout his career he was the quiet superstar country boy, who was family first and team first. How he went from that to a jealous , spotlight-hungry hater is beyond me
Scottie Pippen got the most out of his career because he played with Michael Jordan. It's very weird how this is now turned into some supposed sob story for poor ol' Scottie. Dude was a basketball superstar in the 90's and became world famous, now people are supposed to feel bad for him? No, if he's not gonna be grateful he at least needs to man up and take responsibility for his own decisions. There are plenty of people who would have gladly traded places with Pippen, and they would be the famous one today, not the forgotten or unsung former NBA player.
It's called knowing how to be a star in your role. Pippen never TRULY came to grips with THAT. He secretly has coveted all of the favor, praise and adulation that his basketball mentor and one-time close friend, Michael Jordan; received and STILL receives. Sad situation, but much of Scottie's angst and turmoil is self induced. With the proper perspective, he'd be able to exorcize MANY of his personal demons.
He was essentially the blueprint for the first Kwahi Leonard. Pippen was amazing and his story is crazy as well. Absolutely one of the best players ever. He gotta relax before he legit fuck up his legacy.
@@challenger516 athletic Kawhi (pre-2017 injury) they are pretty similar tbh. Post-2017 Kawhi is most similar to ‘98 MJ, which the efficiency and mastery of midrange shots
@@redman6790 Not even close, Kawhi's offensive game is much more polished than Pippen. Pippen was a slasher and a point forward. The closest thing ever to Pippen is probably Iguodala or Paul George with less handle.
Scottie Pippen should count his blessings and lucky stars that he played with a great player(Michael Jordan)who understood and gave credit to him publicly for helping him win championships. But let's be honest, Michael Jordan was great before, and after Scottie Pippen joined the Bulls. Michael Jordan was rookie of the year. Scottie Pippen averaged 7 points per game and didn't start. Michael Jordan made Scottie Pippen great. Scottie Pippen can't give credit because he's weak and weak people are too insecure to give credit where credit is due.
Even MJ admitted that when he came back to the Bulls after his first "retirement", the Bulls were now "Scotty's team." Sounds like poor brother just needs a hug and attaboy from MJ, in the public. MJ said straight up that he disagrees with his son dating Scotty's ex. SMBH
He said “He hates his life. In the shadows of Michael Jordan. Salute. Much Respect.” 😂😂😂 You can’t cook the man & then salute him & say much respect lol
Top 20-25 player of all time, probably the most versatile defender of all time and all he is known for is : Mike's No2. It's not that weird that Scottie is bitter to this day.
Scottie should have left to seek his own path. Sitting in as the eternal #2 to Jordan was his own career choice. Now he is bad mouthing the guy that helped him become what he in bball history and the one that he shared great success with.
it didn't and i like him even more. But what he's doing now, even his post game conference comment about Kukoc after they obliterated them on their 1st match shows that Pip is petty. His comment was off the mark compare to Mj.
Thats a scar on his legacy and he won't live that down ...it's always gonna be with him He's getting mad at Jordan but not his thot wife He's projecting so hard
@@kayamerrick3907 learn the definition of quitting..in order to quit on your team look at Scottie pippen in game 3 against Knicks..none of Jordan’s teammates said he quit..you can’t quit if you retire with a championship..that’s not quitting..bill laimbeer quit on his team during the season..that’s a quitter..vonte Davis quit on his team at halftime..the education system has failed you
Salute to Scottie Pippen he Came to the trenches of Chicago back in 1991/92 to My High school Paul Robeson to chop it up with Us So he will always be cool in my book. it's natural to feel a way when you get overlooked and always called a side kick , I think it really pissed him off when M J Called him selfish in the last dance documentary ( Very Ironic). Scottie was that dude an athletic Versatile do it all type of player he also helped the team have success even tho he was not a scoring machine or got the media attention like Mike. #dantana773 #60621certified
They were a series away from the Finals without MJ but at the same time 7:34 he never came close to winning without him when he only played ONE season without him in his *prime* ????
Do you know that if it wasn't for Scottie the season following the 72-10, they could've finished with 70-12 instead of 69-13. And in the 1990 ECF against the Pistons, they should've won. Bulls would've 4Peat and the Pistons would only have 1.
I just think Scottie should appreciate what he was able to become. Not many can be a great second option like that. I'm not sure who else could've played with Jordan on those teams.
@@mireilledavidson9427 Scottie had a season and a half with no MJ in Chicago. In that season one full season he was an MVP candidate, all nba and won a playoff series. How is that misleading?
Pip does get a bad rap. He doesn’t help himself with his actions but even before people were never giving him his proper dues. Like even in the opening to this video the guy said that in 94 when Jordan was gone Pippen didn’t even make the finals 🤦♂️ how the hell was he supposed to do that? They’d just lost the best player in the entire league and basically ran it back without him. They brought in Steve Kerr and a rookie Toni Kukoc but no one even 10% as good as the player they lost. The first year without Magic LA go from the finals to the 8th seed. The first year without Shaq, Kobe falls to the 11 seed. Basically any team Lebron leaves, because he leaves as a free agent, go from a finals team to a lottery team. That’s what happens when the best player leaves a team and Isn’t replaced. But in Chicago’s case they lost the goat of basketball and were still one of the best teams in the league. They won 55 games and lost a close game seven to the conference winners in the second round. Pip was first team all nba, first team all defence, all star MVP and was third in MVP voting. So 94 is not a reason to hate on Pip. He showed the league he was a legit NBA superstar that season. You replace Jordan with a legit co star for Pip instead of just taking Jordan off the team and they would have won the chip.
As a bulls fan and Pip fan I thank you for shouting him out. Ppl really forget how good he was because MJ was THAT DUDE. I wish Pip would stop tho. Its a bad look and makes ppl want to diminish him further to back MJ.

The sad thing is that NO ONE watched The Last Dance and came away thinking any less of Scottie. Yes, it showed him being selfish. But it made you understand his frustrations ATT; made you understand why he was behaving that way. Everyone is just human, we all make mistakes. I think the documentary did a great job showing that he did redeem himself and make it up to his team. It's only because he's pursued this childish vendetta that everyone started to hate him.
I don't know why he was never good enough to be a true #1 even his best season he could only give you 21ppg. Then in the Playoffs of that yr he dropped down to 18ppg on HORRIBLE efficiency...During his Playoffs career with the Chicago Bulls. Scottie Pippen gave them 15ppg on 40% /23% from 3pt and 63% from the free throw line. He's always been overrated 🤷🏾♂️
Salute to Scottie Pippen and his perspective I understand how he would feel slighted & disrespected by M.J and the rest of the Masses. Scottie was a top tier player he could do everything and impact the game without scoring 30 ppg. Coach Tex Winters ( the creator of the Triangle offense) said plenty of times that Pippen and his skill set fit perfectly with the triangle. and that Scottie was the doberman of the bulls defense and would cover for others mistakes on defense or when Jordan gambled on a steal and missed. Scottie should have won Defensive player of the year at least once. KNOCK IT OFF That one Year M.J retired PIP led the bulls in every major stastical catagory and still won 55 games plus he and two other players made the allstar team with him. The 2nd round loss to the knick's that was because of that fluke foul call for Hubert Davis. side note MJ never made it to the second round with without PIP ( google it). That Houston Rockets team was old and janky Both Barkley & Dream was old and past their Prime. ( He took Cuttino Mobley under his wing and helped his game) Pip Helped that Portland team make it to the WCF even tho he was not the leading scorer. I get it Michael Jordan is a icon and he took The NBA to a GLOBAL LEVEL. But pip not wrong for how he views being slighted It was not Just M.J by himself that got them 6 rings Pip and the whole team got them chips. In the last dance Doc Jordan called Scottie SELFISH and IMO that's what really made Pip Bug tf up.
Funny how you say Jordan never made it to the 2nd round without pip then in your next breath give context to why pip didn't win without jordan on houston but didn't give context to jordan losing
@@Intellectually_Ignorant_brandPippen was carried out of the 1st round, that's isn't a opinion. Jordan said Pippen was being selfish for delaying surgery in 97-98. Jordan was right. Pippen can't be criticized? 3peat Bulls added 5 new players. Pippen didn't lead them in every statistical category. Played a Cavs team missing 3 of their 4 best players in the 1st round. The best player in any sport gets most of the credit. This true with Brady, Messi, Gretzky, Duncan, etc. The Rockets were in the WCF in 97. Pippen played poorly that's why they got bounced in the 1st round. Blazers made the WCF the yr before without Pippen. Pippen always joined established teams his whole career. Pippen should feel nothing but grateful.
The Chicago bulls should release a real documentary about the bulls during the 90s. The whole team. They gotta have tapes about practice nobody ever seen and stuff like that.
@@33greenleaf Jordan never sat out in a crucial playoff game cause Phil wanted to the ball in Kerr's or Tony's hands which was often during their second dynasty Scottie did many times , Scottie is one of my favorites and I always defended him but it's getting harder to defend him these days
I'm old enough to remember just how horrible the bulls were before Mike got there. His impact was phenomenal right from the jump but no one thought that he would ever get a team built around him and he would go down as the greatest player to never win anything because of that. Yet he was good enough to make them competitive and they eventually did build a team around him. I always liked pippen but he's delusional and MJ most definitely could have won all those championships with another #2
Same with Hakeem, horrible in 83-84 and immediate playoff contender and got to the finals beating the showtime Lakers in 85-86. Just shows how one player makes a difference.

I understand why scottie is mad because some people act like jordan won all by himself and treat him like he was role player and was just riding along I think jordan and pippen needed each other and to me pippen should look at his career not in spite but in a good light because jordan didn't win without him so he needs to let the hate go he's too old now to be petty
Scottie and Michael were friends for many years after their retirements. IMO, Scottie got salty for three reasons. First, the Last Dance. Second, he's broke. Third, his ex-wife is dating MJ's son.
Scottie is the male version if Michelle from Destiny Child. Everytime someone mentions Jordan(Beyonce) Scottie (Michelle) goes crazy. They don't like being in the shadows.
Pippen not a stunted growth either. NBA was not going to allow Pippen to carry the Blazers to a chip! that would take away from Jordan Legacy which the league and sport is built on.... Besides Pippen would not be as good if Jordan was not hounding him/ practicing with him through out the seasons when they were on the bulls together. Pippen actually is a growth spurt. Not everyone can get the script to be "The Man" in team sport. Everyone has their roles. Pippen should not be ashamed of being a #2
I feel you on that. I think its hard to accept that because so many bball fans act like anybody could have helped the Bulls win and that Pip was some nobody. I think he resents ppl basically relegating him to a footnote in a dynastic team
Pause the video at 9:57. What the heck is wrong with Jr? Are there just no 28y/o women interested in rich guys with a famous dad? I'm sure she was a catch 25 years ago, but poaching an old lady from your dad's teammate? And no, women don't have kids @50.
Krause made the mistake of saying “players and coaches don’t win championships, organizations do.” Always praise the talent. Making them feel unappreciated never ends well.
@@33greenleaf Krause is the sole reason Jordan left twice and Phil left I know he's passed on but unfortunately he messed up that bulls team they could of won 10 at least
My all time favorite player(along w Grant Hill). Over the years I have grown tired of seeing ppl act like he was just a bum MJ carried. That said Pip looking bad w some of the stuff he says. Hurts to say as a Bulls fan and Pip fan
My thing is scottie should have just enjoyed retirement he didn't need to talk bad about MJ the fans would have carried his name he would have been fine
Even though he didn’t reach the conference finals that bulls team with out Jordan was still great given time I think they would’ve gotten over the hump
Scottie pipen shoulda have stayed at point gurad and worked more on his shot creation from the mid range and from the 3 it woulda increased his value and it woulda been a smoother transition when he had to be the number 1. Like if magic Johnson was a sf he wouldn’t have been as good as he was
I’m from the Chi. Scottie’s biggest issue is that he wasn’t financially savvy with his money. Goofball should have rode the wave he had with Jordan. You can still be a leader without being in charge. Plus he always been on sucka shit! Rude, arrogant for no reason at all, other than he always knew he was a sucka..
Call me crazy but I kinda seen this coming because those that are a certain age remember when Pip didn’t go back in a game against the Knicks because Phil wanted Kukoch to take the last shot that didn’t sit right with me
It saddens me how bitter SP is of MJ. One reason is bc YOU create your own legacy. If SP thought he would be remembered by the history (while he played) just remember yesterday was history. He’s making it worse for himself for crying and complaining about MJ after ALL these years after his retirement. Not to mention his ex wife with younger Jordan. Just wow.
If you would've told anyone.... including Pippen on draft night that he'd accomplish what he accomplished in his career nobody would believe you. He's the furthest thing from stunted growth. Ppl are just mad bc he's taking shots at their God. Kinda funny bc in reality he overachieved. When Pippen was leading the Bulls by himself there's several NBA players on record saying he was the best player in the league. So to say he wasn't a superstar then is a stretch. Lifelong Scottie Pippen fans gonna go on a Pip hating spree bc he talked bad about their idol Jordan. Hahahaha. FYI those two actually know each other personally so maybe it's best to keep feelings out of it. Pippen was an all time great... Jordan is the GOAT.... their personal issues doesn't change their careers on the court. Ppl need to quit trying to rewrite history bc their feelings are hurt.
I don’t agree. Bulls never built a team around Scottie. It took Jordan 7 years to win a ring with the Bulls Y’all expecting Scottie to win without Jordan the 2 years he was gone In Portland after his prime averaging 12 a game in a slower pace game back then in todays game would be 22 a game
Michael Pippen Jordan lmao 🤣 u cold for that one 🤣 in all seriousness tho Bitter Scottie just needs help I think dude is really going through some mental health issues and as we all know mental health is real. I hope Scottie gets help and stops this silly campaign of hate towards Jordan ..moves on! Scottie is legend he just needs to realize there's nothing wrong with being Robin
That’s too harsh. Not too long before the documentary, his son died. I don’t wish this on my worst enemy. You have no idea what this does to a man. I watched the last dance. MJ was disrespectful not to only Scottie, but to his teammates, and appoints. MJ came off as arrogant and pointed fingers at others. Why did he even brought up that incident with Scottie not checking in for that final play? He wasn’t even part of the team that season. Great player, but a horrible person. Just listen to his hall of fame speech, he didn’t even hesitate to ofter his own kids.
This guy talking about he never led his team to a championship when the year left was the exact same team minus jordan. How could he lead a team to a championship if he didn’t have one hall of famer to play with. Lol. In Portland he was past his prime to be leading a team to a championship. So you talk like he’s supposed to lead a team when Mike had way more help.
That shit is disgusting. Puts a black mark on the bulls from the 90s fr. I don't look at Jordan the same bro. Only credit I give Jordan is that he said he don't like that shit either. Jordan is number one but there is no better number 2. Kobe as great as he was is not a better number 2 than pip he just wasn't.
Scottie is doing it to himself. All anybody ever did was say how great a two way player he was, and how he was a integral part of the Bulls’ dynasty. His crazy talk is what will make people discount and then dismiss his contribution. He’s just salty because he’s never been “the man”. He’s too old for all this childish BS he’s been talking.
He's going out as a lame, it's not like Pippin was a bad player. He's just mad because the won 3 lost when he played baseball and won 3 more when he came back.
dude stop... i love your channel and thoughts on the game but you're wrong on this one. Scottie can say whatever he wants. he's top 3 two way player of all time.. mj dont have the rings that is constantly talked about if pip didnt exist. yall try to protect mj at every cost but he's really a POS and a horrible teammate and pip knows it. scottie was 1b. not no#2. he has nothing to be jealous of.
They talked about 93/94 season in the documentary about MJ...he was playing baseball that year...they should've covered that instead. You a hater for real...can't believe what You talking 'bout here.
Is he running out of content? Michael Jordan and now Scottie Pippen, both Hall of Famers with multiple championships and now they are Stunted Growth editions? Maybe all NBA players in history are simply stunted growth.
