I enjoyed seeing our beloved teacher interview a good looking , intelligent gentleman from Malaysia. I am very much interested in the way people deal with multiple languages. "Honky" and "dory" both do sound like Japanese. "Honky" or "honki" means " I'm serious," " I mean it," " I'm not kidding." "Dory" or "dori" means " as expected," "as planned" But we never say "Honki-dori." When we want to say " just as expected," we say "omoi-dori" or "keikaku-dori." Honky dory may mean " just as seriously planned."

Two of my very first books were a grand formate English pictorial dictionary from around 1950 and a Humpty Dumpty Pixie book, I received from my parents when in German Kindergarten in Lisbon. I still have the dictionary and treasure it. : )

Even in summer, someone came from tropical regions will say 'it's quite cold', and it's a little cliche' for someone native from England to hear this. Well, I went to England last year during winter and I experienced cold weather for the first time in my life, and for me I think I just love that weather. Right after I came back to Malaysia I had so much in my mind to go back to the very beautiful country which in this context' England'. I totally love the weather and I even felt that I am back to my home and I love the people as well.

I live in nyc and have always wanted to move and live in England even though I’ve never been.
