And some Western media keep saying that Africa is a dark continent where people live in mud huts & caves. Banana island, Lekki , ikoyi...etc are showing us a totally different picture. I guess this media should now change their negative narrative about life in Africa.
We can now control our own narrative. Stop relying on other countries to report the beauty of the continent. All countries have problems, and the West is not exempt.
Lagos Nigeria is so beautiful,Nigeria The Giant of Africa.Nigerians should stop destroying their pretty country with their tongues calling incredibly beautiful Nigeria a Zoo to please Mzungu washenzi sana.
The youth look talented no wonder why Nigeria produces all these great musicians. But our African youth should stop copying hip hop culture a la carte. No one wants to see thier underwear showing like that. They do not even know a lot of that is linked to prison culture and men dropping their pants for other men or something to that effect. It devalues their self worth. Have some respect and stick to the actual music and dancing. Great content African Tigress as usual.
Excellent point! But these are kids from the Hood (no disrespect), merely regurgitating what they see on telly. It’s their own understanding of being connected to the rest of the world.
Clap for urself are you in Nigeria to see how much the live in a month who live 30$ a month what can you by in Nigeria with 1000$ a month in Nigeria !!
It’s unfortunate that the beach has to cost, but I guess it helps with cleanup. My friend is from a Caribbean island, and every-time they want to close off the beach, they protest, because they believe beaches should be free to all. My cousin is visiting the same time as you
Years back it used to be free but very poorly maintained. Payment help to keep it clean and reduce street urchins called Area Boys from coming in unnecessarily to constitute nuisance. It also generate revenue for the local government council.
You can go there for information relating to that state and get support without necessarily travelling down to the state. Good for citizens advice and support to indigenes of the state.
Skylady African Tigress. and Kenyan companion please keep it up. learning lots from you with the beautiful content here. Something really glaring is the lack of Pedestrian walkways on those roads you walked yet being one of the best in Lagos. Hoping the ongoing expansion project on the road will take care of that and ensure there are pedestrian walkways and even bicycle paths. These are all modern necessities in the developed cities of the world. Nice to see fairly peaceful traffic Jam -free roads in this part of Lagos . Your content was all-inclusive thank you
Ikoyi Banana Island are the best neighbourhoods in Lagos. That's billionaire's zone, exclusive.... Victoria Island is over commercialised, banks, oil companies have taken over ...Most residents have moved out to Lekki , Ikoyi and other places
Thank you for showcasing Nigeria to the world. I wish to also visit Kenya your country someday. We Africans should sample our continent in a good way it is. We are so blessed to be Africans.
The original city of Lagos comprise of the Island and the Mainland areas. They are (island areas of) Lagos Island, Ikoyi, and Victoria Island; and (mainland areas of) Apapa, Ido, Ebute-meta, and parts of Surulere (New Lagos).
Oh no, liaison office is not where you get state of origin certificate. It is the state government office. In this case Akwa Ibom state's office in Lagos. Indigenes of Akwa Ibom can conduct official business with their government there without necessarily traveling back home. Greetings from Owerri man watching from Minnesota.
@uba8227 Yes, you can obtain your state-of-origin certificate in your state liaison office where you reside instead of travelling to your home state. Just as you can get your country's visa in your country embassy in the country of your resident without travelling to your home country.
@deborahdaniel5928 l know, but the guy in the video reduced the function of the liaison office to the issuance of state of origin certificates, which I debunked. That certificate is part of the official businesses carried out at the liaison office.
I was surprised too at his comment. Lol. A state liason office is like a mini embassy of each state in Nigeria where indigenes of the state go if they need anything like official documents, support or other. Most were in Lagos as the former capital of Nigeria but they've moved to Abuja though they stillmaintain offices in Lagos. That guy need to brush up his knowledge of Nigeria
Thank you for showing the other part of the world. I had been watching your vlogs. Im from bgc manila and i saw your videos here as well. Keep vlogging.
In Kenya theres nothing like blocking a beach and making it private. There’s private access to the beach but nothing like preventing people to access the front of the beach
True, though I believe all this nonsense can only happen in Nigeria simply bcos of too much corruption and that is the reason why people like me is trying so hard to get into politics so I can try to change one or two things..."I mean you can't just possibly own a beach that God created for everyone. It just doesn't make no sense to me as a Nigerian.
All beaches where free access in Lagos Nigeria but this idea of privatising or capitalism began just few years ago after we got into this republic in 1999. However there are free beaches out there but maybe not as developed like the Marwa beach, Eputu, Alfa beach and some others along the Lekki peninsula corridor.
@@user-hadey15people with less info always having much.. all you see is corruption, there is no law preventing a private property owner along the sea line in Nigeria .. there are private beach and open public beach , if that place isn't privately take care of , person like you will use it like toilet like how Ghanaian use their public beaches as public toilets
@@user-hadey15I'm an american I think the beaches belong to everybody as long as you're respectful and don't litter! California and New York the ultra rich own some beaches it isn't fair
Tigress I’m glad you are back in Nigeria once again. At some point in the video(hard rock cafe), it felt like a romantic date. Or maybe it was 😂 You should have stood up to shake it too at the club. Correction tho, Ikoyi is the richest neighborhood in Lagos. Try to take a walk on Alfred Rewane road and Gerard Road next time, you’ll absolutely love it. Waiting for your Abj videos too and continue to have fun ❤
Well Banana island is, technically, but it doesn’t have so many high rises because it’s largely residential. Besides, Banana island is just an extension of Ikoyi. The two roads I mentioned have beautiful structures that hosts some global tech giants and business. ❤
Our African Tigress, please & please visit the following place s if you can during your next visit: The ancient city of Benin, Warri, Ekpoma, makurdi, Nsukka, Obudu cattle ranch & Jos (the home of tourism & the coldest city in nigeria). God bless you.
They don’t want the market to move that’s why they are making sure Nigerians are hated lol. But God has the final say. Enough propaganda about Nigeria from useless media and some African countries
