If I was the government of Liberia I’d build free houses for those that live and own land here and relocate them. West Point has very beautiful landscapes that can be developed into a bustling shopping district with beautiful modern skyscrapers, luxury hotels, malls, restaurants and stunning beaches. This will attract tourists. Liberia could be the Dubai of Africa or even better. We have all the resources to achieve this all we are missing is good leadership.
A tourist based economy is trash. Commercialization of beachfront property is just another way to industrialize in a way that erodes the natural environment. You can improve lives without creating skyscrapers and the like
I am of the same mind. I'm not sure if West Point specifically could support super large buildings, but it should most definitely be converted into some kind of entertainment area where families can enjoy the beach, eat at nice restaurants, go shopping, maybe watch a movie, and all sorts of things.
Dubai of Africa.... Ummmm not possible. There is a reason West Africa is not a tourist destination. There is nothing to offer a tourist. No sight seeing, no value. I spent 2 years there in the US Embassy.

It requires the good mindset of us owner of the land not strangers... LEC headquarter is located there too..If it is still there... Those that own lands there buy or build some place and give the houses to the landlord who own lands in West point .. The place have to be developed.

@@jaykilla1171 i stated my point clearly, the issues weren't addressed by the last President so it's crazy to expect them all to be fixed at once. Anyone with love for Liberia & common sense should applaud all the projects going on around the nation.
