Weuh the other day i bought cabbage a medium size one 100ksh I don't know what is cheap like if you don't have like 500 ksh daily you won't have dinner and breakfast, you just have to chose one.
Tissues in supermarkets, soaps, cooking oil and many more. Carrefour is a little bit cost friendly but I personally now shop from wholesale shops for some selected items. Tissues,a pack of to pieces went from around 300 to 500 in most supermarkets. I buy that from chandaria and a pack of 40 pieces goes from 700 to 1,200 based on the brand. Everytime I go there I find a queue meaning people know about the difference.
Life has become very expensive. People are opting for wholesale shopping. Carrefour (our Walmart) has strict rules on filming. The video was amazingly edited .
When you go shopping with 10k you will have to add 7k more. Unga, oil, eggs, soup and detergents have doubled. When you go for vlogging use secret cameras hawa watu watafikiria unataka kuenda kuiba!
Am praying to get congratulations message for green card come May....hii Kenya imekuwa ngumu it's better to cry that life is hard when you are in another country than when you are in your own country...God see us through 🙏
And location also matters too ...they are in village market ofcos the target audience is people from Runda ,Muthaiga and it's environs...good thing with Carrefour esp if you have left Kenya,is that you find almost everything u use when abroad unlike kina Naivas and the other local supermarkets
Most Welcimed. Though carrefour can be abit cheaper if you have enrolled in their "My Club" too, if they have discounts you get more discounts with my club. The Food Market too have imported items
Kenya and Africa I n general should be thinking of how to ditch the dollar that's where all our problems begin right now there are dollar shortages our currency has lost alot of value making our imports damn expensive
Good view..but it's impossible to do that. Russia did it but they currently have one of the highest inflation rates. The whole world is tied to the dollar so we have a long way to go.
In Kenya we're just surviving and by the way Carrefour is a little bit cheaper on food commodities. I also saw another youtuber been harassed in Quickmart Supermarket. I don't know what these supermarket guys are afraid of when it comes to people taking videos. Welcome to Kenya!
Same here in Canada. Life has become very expensive. Rent, food, petrol...everything is more than ever before. It does not help when there is a carbon tax on fuel and those taxes are set to rise again. So, insane inflation that every country seems to be having, covid shut down hurt supply chains, few other issues....and then a PM and govt who impose a tax to see if they can change people's behavior and tame the climate. Anyways, these prices seem outrageous to me since I haven't lived in Kenya since 1989..lol
Wow... thanks for your input... that puts everything to perspective. You should visit kenya sometime..it's good to go back and reset.. thanks for sharing
@@pietrojenkins6901 🤣🤣We live rent free in your heads...You cant even go to war at the moment because your population is going down on an alarming rate, minority minority..say that again
Kenya is not so high in prices compared to USA , that big bread you just held, you said it’s 85 Kenya shillings, that same size bread in USA is about 3 dollars which is about 300 Kenya shillings.
That's where you come to cost of living and standard of living. Standard of living ni very far different kati ya kenya na usa, ndo maana hata ukinunua break 3$ in usa hautasikia maumivu ila ukinunua bread 2$ in kenya lazima usikie maumivu
@@erickmatojo317 maumivu in prices is now a global thing. Even people in USA and everywhere else are feeling the heat in price changes and inflation especially after covid 19 pandemic and gas prices went up. In Kenya you could have paid monthly water bill of 1000-4000 shillings about 40 U.S dollars for a small family of 4, in USA water bill ranges from 55-120 dollars a month about 5500-12,000 Kenya shillings a month. Everyone is hurting economically, let’s pray things will get better.
Lol Nic is shocketh he won’t stop saying how everything is expensive… expensive was his word of the day. Maisha ni ngumu aki. Inflation is killing the vibe
We live by comparing prices I've noticed supermarkets owned by Somalis are a little bit cheaper than this chain stores unfortunately you only find them in smaller towns.
1. El ate all her lipstick 😂 2. El looks lovely in her little dress 😍 3. Hope y'all enjoying the weather 🤗 4. Nic must be the budget master cause he's so pissed at the high cost of goods 😅 5. Always loving the editing ☺️
Come on somethings your exaggerating...bread 35 two years ago?? No that's a lie...we also live here...last time we bought at 35 I was in primary over ten years back.
You should have returned everything you bought and told the management that their policy belongs to the stone age period. What is wrong with vlogging? In fact, you were doing them a favor by advertising for them online, the video would last for ages online.
Agreed nowadays people get influenced to buy stuff through vlogs am still surprised they have a zero video policy.. but still we got the video so all is well
Yeah carrefour hakuna kuchukia photos, you can be forced to delete your entire gallery 😂😂 sorry about that, this is Kenya, maybe you try Naivas,I always see Diana Bahati vlogging in Naivas
