Hey Sophie! To be honest, I haven't celebrated my birthday since 2018. It's my desire to celebrate myself but I can't afford it. I'm a Sickle Cell Warrior and my health takes a WHOLE LOT of my income. My parents lost their Jobs so I'm also the breadwinner. I'll be 24 this year but I'm most certainly grateful to God that Sickle Cell hasn't consumed me. It gets lonely because I don't have a partner but then I'm reminded that I still need to work on myself. I need to be able to afford things for myself before I get a partner. No matter how hard it gets, I'll never lose sight of God. ❤
My 27th Birthday plans for this year : I plan on visiting a different state and spending more time with God , away from social media, a me and God time ( fellowshipping with him )

I waited until I got married and the man I married didnt want to do any thing I wanted to do evn though we discussed everything before we got married. Turns out he had travel anxiety and was a diagnosed narcissist.. I now live the life I want to LIVE NOW. Regardless of my relationship status

I love this Sophia era! Everything you say is just so relatable and I appreciate you sharing! I think the birthday anxiety creeps up because we feel like no one is going to care as much as we do on our birthday. That is simply not true but you may feel like not enough people are going to call, text and wish you a simple happy birthday- which can feel so disappointing. april baby here ! my birthday was on the 6th and i decided to tone it down this year and go all out next birthday. it was my “kobe” year so yk… but the major theme was to be more present with those i invited out. i took care of myself ate really good and was appreciative of those who came to celebrate even if it wasnt a big extravaganza. just like you- every april im very anxious and will cancel literally the day before. but im learning to stop putting somuch stress on myself/bitthday since that is one of the main days youre supposed to take it easy…. I’m going to Miami solo for my birthday. I’m doing excursions like horse back riding, lounging at Nikki Beach, and Little Havana food tasting, 🫶🏾 Hope it inspires people to continue to enjoy life even if others can’t make it. Also to help unwind at night, I make a sleepy girl mock-tail. It includes Cranberry Juice, Poppi soda, and Magnesium powder to help to sleep. Tik Tok has a lot of good recipes.

Hey girly! I usually sleep at or around the same time most nights. Make sure you have a night routine. Put my phone on the charger in a different room. Listen to something that will make me laugh and drink something hot like tea, hot lemon water. Sometimes I do a little stretching. Works like a charm every time.
The present is the present was my vibe this year for my birthday (4/11). I just went to a major city, booked a room for a couple nights & just explored. It was so refreshing - no stress, no real planning. Just taking a moment to be in the moment is so refreshing for people that are always on go
