Amen to speaking on “mom guilt”, loved the points that you made. I once heard a child psychologist say “It is better to be away from your child for 2 hours to come home and spend 1 hour, or even 30 minutes, with them totally mindfully instead of 3 hours feeling depleted.”

I'm now 28 and the idea of my twenties coming to an end an a new era of my 30's soon to begin in 2yrs I'm anxious for it, but also excited for it because of YOU. $50 for eyebrows at home is definitely a luxury! If you go to your local salon, you can normally get a wax for between $8-12 (depending on your location) + a few dollars for a tip :)

I’ve only started not drinking alcohol at events for the first time in 14 years because I was preparing for getting pregnant, and now I am with child! It’s been really interesting being sober around everyone else who’s drunk or tipsy at events and clubbing - and I’ve surprised myself with managing to still enjoy myself all the way until the end of the night, and feeling amazing the next morning by just feeling tired but not feeling hungover or anxious!! No one noticed at all that I wasn’t drinking, and I remember everything that happened in the night… it’s a new way of life, and I’m here living for it!
There’s usually a moment in a video that compels me to like it- in this one it’s at 4:43 when she triumphantly celebrates her finished outfit- soooo freaking cute!!

You hit the nail on the head in regards to mom guilt. People are so quick to judge and mom shame others and yet think it's ok to do it. As a mom myself, I agree with you that we need our me time to recharge ourselves and be present for our child, husband and others.

On the eyebrows, I learned how to pluck them myself and it's fantastic. No extra cost except for tweezers and eyebrow scissors, and you have very fine control over the exact shape you want them to be. Also very therapeutic to do!

In my experience sobriety was very hard, since I’m a very socially awkward to say at least, I was using alcohol to fit in. I was never a life of a party sober, but I surely was one under the influence and I liked it. I felt safe and maybe a little less judged in my mind for talking louder and being passionate. I’m now redefining myself and for some odd (for me) reason people are way more likely to befriend me, I finally see the light after years and years of pretty much solo life with no real friendships. I was’t alone drinking, but I sure was super lonely, anxious and terrified of sober talk. And, Jenn, thank you for being my comfort person😌 much love from Russia
can consider investing in EYEBROW EMBROIDERY instead, Jenn!! omo it's more worth it than to wax monthly cuz u just have to pay a lump sum n it can last at least a year! ofc u gotta do annual touch-up to maintain ur embroidered brows, but u'll no longer have to spend time drawing them in the mornings nor worry about overplucking anymore!❤ i did it and it's like life changing, beb😍 my facial features look accentuated even without any makeup~~ i did the korean misty eyebrow embroidery for asian ladies which is quite natural~

I remember when you found you were pregnant and crying saying that you don’t know whether or not you can love your child and become a good mum. At that time, your news made me think about lots of my life and I went for 10km running for a while. But I knew you would go through any your life stages strongly. I personally never drink (never have either), but I’ve never felt like I didn’t get the most out of my fun at social events and parties! It’s a great great feeling to go out have fun and not feel the need to drink and have hangovers. I’m really glad you’re enjoying this lifestyle too!! All the best to you ❤

I looove your long form. There's something about the pace of your videos that I don't think is translatable into short form. It's not just about any single "point" that you make but rather what is communicated in-between lines in the seemingly effortless moments of a video when you let a scene play out and your life - or what you decide to share - sneaks out (at least seemingly). Like, when a side ironic comment puts a twist on a scene. There's no room for that in short form, I think, it always comes across heavy-handed.
Omg your sobriety chat!!! I made the choice to stop drinking (for the foreseeable future) just over a week ago. A week sober sounds silly for me to say but i went from drinking every weekend and a few times a week to none at all, and it feels so different but in the best way possible now. “Hangxiety” is exactly what i had!!! Sooo much anxiety the night before worrying about my future hangover. I loved your little chat about how you manage to have a great time without it. Soooo happy for you and your journey Jenn ❤
Yay balancing non-alcoholic events and alcoholic events! I feel the same way too, but sometime even though no one is pressuring me to drink at events/gathering, there is this internal pressure to drink. It's more of a habit I suppose! When I don't feel like having a drink I go for soda water, lemon, lime and a hint of salt! It's satiating and refreshing. *Not sponsored* LOL but if I feel like having some wine, really love Dry Farm wines, it's a subscription but love the selections they have. It doesn't leave me feeling hungover or anxious the next day.

This vlog was so fun! It's nice to see someone as a role model experimenting with how they can handle themselves in party type situations with and without alcohol. I'm also glad that we're at a point in society where you can simultaneously be a mother, and go out and have a good time, not feel bad about it, and not get called a "bad mom"!!! I remember in the early 90s/2000s so much of that was said. And FR, keep doing long form content PLEASE! I'm not against tiktoks but my brain likes the longer forms the best.
I lost a lot of friends when I stopped drinking alcohol. Eventually they stopped inviting me. But few remained. They still drink but they respect that I don't. They still offer me drinks but if I say no, they don't push. I did not quit drinking altogether, but now I choose days when I do drink, but not to the point of disaster. Contrary to the usual, I find myself drinking when I'm happy or celebrating, rather than when I'm sad or problematic. I still don't get hangovers because I only drink a glass or two. I finally understood moderation. 😊

I think I appreciate creators ore when they make long form content because it is more meaningful and that as a viewer I am making an effort in taking time to sit down and listen & have a chance to go back to it in the future ( I sometimes re-watch your old videos for inspiration and motivation, and of course for the recipes). I find that form short form content, it may be easier to produce but it won't be meaningful to me, i'll forget about it in minute and scroll on to the next video. Thank you for continuing to make content and sharing your life with us. You are one of my favourite youtubers to watch and learn from.
Ugh you just summed up how I rationalize/view mom guilt when I go out which happens very rarely for me lol. We need to be able to pour into ourselves in order to pour into others as mothers or otherwise
Amazing socializing tips! I’m a Virgo too and this helps a a lot. I went to a party a few weeks ago and wished I’d given myself that grace period getting aquatinted with everything and everyone. I ended up having a great time. I’m currently reading Stolen Focus! Thanks for that too haha
