Got to be careful with using GTO wizard for low frequency lines i.e. calling a 3b with 97s. It makes certain nodes be like 0.1 combos which makes solver always bluff these seven high, eight high, nine high hands because its the tiniest fraction of its range. Like 0.1 combos out of say 150 combos.
@2CardConfidence
@2CardConfidence 11 месяцев назад
Hey, yeah I added 97s manually to be included at higher frequency getting to the flop. But for turn and river that is a good point as frequencies are very low after the flop check back

hey after just finding your channel, very impressed. will check at your course soon hopefully :). My one thought in regard to KK hand --- it has AQ just calling preflop (not 3betting) with 5 of 16 combos (2.5 suited and 2.5 offsuited). Leaving 11 total combos for BB that its 3betting. When it faces the 4bet, its always calling the suited combos (1.5 combos) and calling offsuited at discounted frequency (6.26 combos total, [as its folding aqo offsuit combos to 4b 34% which you skipped over]. So basically bb here gets postflop with 7.8 of total 16 aq combos. KQs calls pf open only 25% of time, and 3b/calls 4b 100%, so thats 3 combos of that. You block one as well. so 2 combos total. So looking at 9.8 total combos of Qx on the flop with inputs we are using (if rough math is correct). Makes sense on river when they only have 3 total better combos with so much Qx raising you on both flop and turn possibly. But if we add a lot more Qx to their range preflop, maybe all of combos of KQs/AQs/AQo. kk-aa will start becoming a xb on river? thanks for interesting hand and good analysis by the way.
@2CardConfidence
@2CardConfidence 11 месяцев назад
Hey, thank you for the nice words :) You're right, if the total amount of Qx that he gets to the flop with and/or that he slowplays flop and turn increases, then thin value bets become less profitable and eventually end up being check backs. But the other side is also possible - if he fast plays more Qx, preflop and/or on flop & turn, then thin value shoves become even more profitable OTR. So if you don't know which side your opponent (or the population your playing in) tends to side towards, falling back on GTO makes sense.

@naga3070
@naga3070 11 месяцев назад
Applying solver to a guy with 46% vpip . That is an entirely different style of poker that does find quite the success, especially against solvers. And the entire explanation regarding this hand couldnt be more wrong 3:30 . Literally any pocket pair and very infrequently, sometimes even ace high will call here, cause that shove can be anything from A7 to J10. And that is why he shoves KK here, and probably would shove JJ as well.

I have a question, how do people learn solver theory etc, isn't there too many flop combinations etc? Do people literally just memorize all the possible card combinations on the board or are there some principles that I'm unaware of
@kitbillion7783
@kitbillion7783 11 месяцев назад
It's called bucketing. You basicly put similar spots into the same 'bucket'. Meaning a flop strategy on A82r is similar to the flop strategy on A72r. Other than that it's Just a ton of work and time you have to put into studying if you wanna succeed. There is so many people in local casinos or small stakes games who studyed actively for 200h or less and think that they're great. It's like any profession, you need time and dedication
@kitbillion7783
@kitbillion7783 11 месяцев назад
It's also way more efficient to learn solver concepts than actual solver outputs for specific spots
@2CardConfidence
@2CardConfidence 11 месяцев назад
Yep, what kit says, what you want to do is find out why things are happening in a spot. If you search for the reasons behind the outputs, you can apply them to other spots and don't have to memorize every one (which is indeed impossible for almost everyone)

Even remotely referencing something so ridiculous, given the stack sizes and how the hand played out can just delete channel straight for humanity's sake. It's absolutely irrelevant what we're blocking on the river, the only issue is the sizing.
