Have you ever wondered what it would be like to spend your life sitting down? Moving through crowds of people and having to make sure that other people’s handbags or elbows do not hit you in the face? At Eye Level was filmed at the eye level of wheelchair users. Immerse yourself in the daily routine of wheelchair users in Vietnam, Mexico, Tehran, New York, Greece and Switzerland.
********************************************
The four short films of the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation offer different perspectives of how people with a spinal cord injury master life. In addition to three artistic films, there is also a documentary about Guido A. Zäch, the founder of comprehensive rehabilitation.

Okay, best video ever in all space and time about wheelchair life. I see these beautiful people busy taking care of themselves in life. I have a tendency to wish things were different and to complain about my life, inside my thoughts. But this video really taught me something special about not doing that and to get busy taking care of my life too, just as it is. So inspiring. Next time, please feature older people in wheelchairs. Thank you so much to this channel. I will save it and watch it many times as inspiration for my own wheelchair dependent life ❤❤❤❤❤

As a wheelchair user in the UK, I found it very humbling to watch how others across the world manage day to day in their wheelchairs. Made me realise that I am very fortunate to have a supportive abled bodied husband to help me, and that I am retired so don't have to get up and go to work. I often feel upset and angry that I have ended up in a wheelchair, but I will try to count my blessings now, instead of my bad luck! Thank you for showing this video.

Would you please share how you manage/release your anger of the negative labels on the wheelchair?

Every able-bodied person needs to see this. So they know that we can do everything, just like them.
