frat64, the American ending was neat; it explained everything. but the UK ending absolutely took my breath away! no way would our network execs have the balls to do to Sam what the Brits did with him in the last ep. i'd recommend giving the UK version another shot because ours was a PALE imitation

I tried to watch this virsion on BBC......it was ok...........The life on Mars in America ended last week.......and what great ending it was! I will miss this show in America.

Life On Mars.... possibley the best drama series made by the BBC.... about a detective who ahs been / believes he has been transported back to the 70's.... follow up series is called Ashes To Ashes... Gene Hunt for PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
