When Dan was pouring into the pot the Green Grapes it reminded me of Pea Soup my Gran used to make every Sunday without fail. The white grapes Dan referred to can be found in South Africa and they are used in medicines but can be found containerised for drinks industry. No mention of green and red combination, except maybe as an over winter supplement drink to ward off influenza's (Common Colds).

That was hot Dan! Definitely get cashing in on that! Also, about getting an oven, I can’t say enough how impressed I am with my wood oven. We bought ours last year, and it’s been amazing. All winter we don’t use any gas.. and I have set myself the challenge of only making oven foods in the winter when we use our wood oven as while we are heating our house, our little ones bath water in a pan, I’m also cooking our dinner in the oven.. no gas used, no money used. So guys… if your thinking of getting an oven, a wood oven is definitely worth looking into as it’s just such multi use and amazing xxx

Try to pick the pears (ladder) because if they hit the ground they bruise and will go bad very quick. A pear pie: pealed, thinly sliced pears) arrange on puff pastry, sprinkle with sugar. Then mix 1 egg&1dl cream, some sugar and pour over pie. Bake at 200°c for 30 min....delicious dessert.....served with whipped cream😋😋😋🌺ooops just heared that you dont have an oven. I found you a couple days ago and have been binge watching your channel from Portland, Oregon. You're doing a lovely job with your land. Just have a few more to go to catch up. My great Granny was frugal and whip smart in the garden. She had a long pole with a simple tin can nailed to the end for reaching the fruit too high up in the trees. I thought her her "high tech harvesting tool" would appeal to your sensibilities. Naturally it would have to wait until next season if you decide to try it. Keep your sense of adventure and humor and you can never "fail" at anything. ❤

I have a couple of pear trees that have FINALLY started to fruit after 6 years. I used my potato rake to get the high ones. I could slip right over them and they fell with a little tug. They don't bruise that way. It makes it easier to can them. We make a nice pear relish from them as well. Dan you'll get more money if you have Laura wash your feet before you stomp. Remember that for next year! Good on both of you fer getting every jar to seal! They'll last for years that way! I don't want to make more work for anyone, but you probably have some great soil for making a hive oven. I'll bet you can learn to bake in that as good as any one with very few mistakes and a store bought over thermometer. Maybe when you head back to the hustle and bustle world you can do some research and come up with a plan...Mud HAS to be more fun than grapes!

I love your videos. You should be very proud of what you have achieved so far. One thing for next harvest. As far as I know you should boil the grape juice and once off the heat pour the honey in. Never boil the honey with the juice together. It’s not healthy 🫂❤️

We used to use rakes with strong tines to hook avocados and pull them off of our trees. They worked really well, and if you don't already have one, a rake like that looks like it would be helpful for the brush you have on your beautiful property.
