I loved every moment of today, and it was so special to see Dave again. The garden is amazing. My mouth was watering at the sight of all those apricots. For me, they are my favorite fruit, and hard to come by in South Florida. You three are so blessed. Your love shines through into Luce. She is such a happy baby, and watching her grow is a delight. Hi guys and beautiful Luce so glad your going off grid it’s super. No pesticides and organic is the way to go. Love cooking the artichoke . I love them and it’s great to see a different way to cook them. Love to watch the cooking👏🏼👏🏼. That bike is fantastic esp for the hills and Sarah it was great to see your brother. I loved it when I had an allotment just outside my garden and grew my own fruit and vegetables, pick it and straight away cook it and eat it, it tasted so much better. Unfortunately I now live in a flat with no outside space. Luce is getting so adorable now she is interacting with you more, beautiful. 😁

I can't believe you have the earwig insects (the one's with the 2 pinchers on your artichokes) in Italy! I live in the middle of the US and we have had many of them this year! Your garden is amazing and I'm sure much more delicious than the veggies and fruits you can buy! My Grandma always had a garden and everything tasted wonderful! Your new house is beautiful! Luce looks to be enjoying her new home and I love her giggles and smiles!

Terrific Variety of food growing on your lovely hillside garden! I wish my garden would produce so well... Unfortunately the Deer in my area think it is their salad bar!! I have apples, grapes, cherries, strawberries, Kiwi fruit, walnuts, hazelnuts, and veggies... but the deer like EVERYTHING! Great bike also! :)

Beautiful garden, I remember when you first came home to Italy and beginning your garden. Luce is beautiful, such a laugh and smile 🌟♥️ I love stuffed artichokes with parmigiana and bread crumbs. And, another favorite of mine is the Zucchini flower, battered and fried! My mother made it quite often and I miss it so much. I wish a garden would survive the squirrels, they can really ravish a garden. Sending lots of love to all of you. BRW, my brother and I are working on getting our Italian citizenship through my mother & grandmother, if not we will go with a residence visa, so will be looking for a home. We will likely rent first while we look for where we want to live. Italy is beautiful and we both dream of returning to my family’s home land. I’m going to watch your series from when you traveled through Italy. We are not settled on an area yet though we do have our favorites ♥️🌟Stay well ♥️

If you add a little salt to the water you use to wash your vegetables, it will draw the insects out.

I love artichokes! Just steamed or boiled with some sort of sauce. I'd love to be able to grow my own too! Oh and P.S. Have Luca raise the carrier up more when the baby us in it. You should be able to easily kiss the babies head when in it 🥰 Love what you're doing!

Ladybugs are my favorite and they are good luck! You should see my kitchen, it’s all designed in red white and green, the colors of the Italian flag and the mascot is the ladybug. I wish I could show you pictures!

Why not bring the earwigs back in the garden?? They are all useful. They all are part of the natural cycle. We always eat the soft parts of the leaves of the cooked artishokes as well. >> In the Netherlands this year is not that good for the grapes and the figs. Not so many fruit.

It was fun to watch your gardening and cooking show today ! You must have the perfect soil and growing conditions in Northern Italy , for all those fruit trees ! 12:38 Mantecare - closest in English is to “thicken” - continue to simmer the broth, and or add flour to make a gravy or “glaze”. Often, in Chinese and oriental foods, they will add corn starch to a broth to thicken into a sauce or gravy. But, I think adding butter and Parmesan cheese sounds more delicious!

Wonderful episode. I love that Luce is becoming so aware of everything around her now. She is so beautiful and smart (like her parents). Loved seeing Dave, it has been a long time, it seems. What an incredible garden. Your artichoke risotto looked delicious and made me so hungry. Luce is growing so fast and gets more adorable every week. She is so lucky to be able to grow up in such a beautiful place. I admire your drive to eat organically and live as much off the grid as possible.
