I work in a retirement home. Winning the incubator would be a great project for the residents. We have places that will take the chicks on farms to raise. But the residents would love the whole process of hatching the eggs and seeing the chicks. This would be an activity that would enrich their lives. Thanks for the opportunity for a chance to win the incubator!

The Moran eggs have more difficulty hatching because the shell's are thicker. Fewer babies hatch because of that. Watch the videos by "A Chick Called Albert" by a wonderful gentleman named Alwyn out of the Netherlands. He does riveting videos on the whole hatching process and assisting chicks in trouble. More humidity or taking a very soft paint brush and softening the membrane can also really help them. Great job Jake! So happy to see this video. Looking forward to the emu eggs hatching next!

To be honest, when it gets to that point in the hatch and they are struggling to get out, you may as well try, if you do nothing they'll die anyway. I used to hatch game birds, and the hardest loses were the 'perfect' ones that died in shell. Unfortunately as with any birth, getting into the world is difficult and not all complete the journey.

Hey guys, I live in the UK (Birmingham). My girlfriend and I have just moved into our first home and we're setting the garden up to help us become as self sufficient as possible. We already have fruit and veg well underway and I keep bees on the land of a nearby friend. The next step in our goal is keeping chcikens for egg production, she is keen to have some Sussex, Silkies and Orpingtons. The incubator would allow us to start our chicken keeping journey so we no longer have to live vicariously through yourselves anymore!

We've had chickens for many years of all kinds. Currently we have legs horns, Silkys, Buff orpingtins, Silverlaced Wyandots and more! We have a pure black and barred rock rooster. Our flock has 10 chickens right now with 16 in the brooder waiting to go out! I have raised all the chickens by myself, And i still take care of them to this day. I have learned what my chickens like and with a tip from you guys we changed our feed and are now getting more eggs! Bonjour from New Brunswick Canada! I have been watching your channel for years and I can't believe how fast your kids grow! I remember how little yours boys were when you first moved and now they're working the farm too! Amazing! I've always been interested in homesteading and I've been slowly expanding my projects more and more. I now grow my family's vegetables and herbs, and I've been interested in expanding my little farm to include some birds. Watching your videos have really inspired me and I think I would like to start with quail and then pheasants and Rock Cornish Game Hens. It's a very fulfilling pastime and I wish I could do it fulltime.

I work in classrooms and group settings with children in kansas. We teach gardening and I would love to incorporate hatching eggs in the classroom. My family has chickens and if all goes well this spring we will have geese and ducks. My first time hatching I watched your videos to feel more comfortable. You guys are great love how it's a family event.

Living vicariously through your chick hatching (and farm) videos and enjoying every one. Thank you so much. In the miniscule chance of winning the incubater, I live in rural nw Washington. I have a good friend who raising chickens for the first time. It would be really fun to hatch more chick's to add to her little flock. ❤

I really enjoyed this video. My grandson and I have hatched 10 Rhode island red chicks about 3 weeks ago. It was our first time hatching, I used eggs from my own hens. It is the most wonderful experience. If we win your giveaway, we will totally enjoy using it and raising more little bundles of joy 😊

Good morning! Loved your video, and review of this incubator. Specifically your explanation on helping the chick with the egg shell, and not removing it yourself. You let the process happen naturally. 😊

I got an incubator that is similar to this one. I'm using it for coturnix quail eggs. I'm glad that you made this video. When I go into lock down I'll have to make sure my eggs are clustered more toward the center. Thank you for reviewing this incubator.

I could watch hatching videos all day, especially when you’re explaining what to do when an issue comes up. I’ve been trying to get some DeathLayer eggs to hatch. Gorgeous birds, they laying their entire life, approximately 8-10 years, & they are from the Westphalia region of Germany where my ancestors lived. It’s reported there are less than 1,500 of them left in Germany, so I’d like to not only raise awareness of them, but increase their chances of not becoming extinct. Thank you for your project also. I’m very interested in seeing how it turns out. Chicken genetics are fascinating!

I just wanted to say that this was the best video for me to learn how to help a chick having issues hatch out. I had a chick trying to hatch out for over a day but was stuck. I did exactly what you did and cracked the egg all the way around and the chick was able to finish the hatching process and has been doing great. Thank you!
