As a dinosaur fan for 20 years I found this hilarious. Now I want to hear your thoughts on watching Jurassic Park when you were a kid

I also hated going to Disney. My parents decided to do it as a surprise, and that made it worse for me. I have autism, so anything not routine is a nightmare for me, so placing me in the middle of a theme park without letting me prepare ahead of time, yeah, it was a disaster. I literally screamed at the top of my lungs, "I hate it here, I want to go home!" After that, the rest of my family had it ruined for them because it put us on what is now known as a "treasured guest" list. Pretty much, the staff does the bare minimum for you and the actors do not interact with you if they can avoid it.

Props to your dad for going on Small World like 4 times. He's a better person than I am. Just once and that song has my wanting to chop my ears off.

Honestly, GOD BLESS YOUR PARENTS’ PATIENCE! Every single story time vid of yours is basically birth control at this point, and your parents are just the bravest souls for living through those!😂 Also, I remember going to a 4D experience at Hershey Park when I was in Boy Scouts (don’t worry, it wasn’t a controversial troop like some other ones). Regardless, we were having a blast! I loved how well the 3D worked, and there was a cartoon elephant and hoses that would make it seem like the elephant was spraying water on us. It was fun…… until they had a bit with a cartoon spider and had air cannons under the seats (probably full of hair) so it would feel like something was crawling on our legs. As an arachnophobe, I was actually (surprisingly) ok with the look of the spider on its own (very cartoony). The air cannons COMBINED with that, though, taught me to never trust big corporations again.😔

Getting these glimpses into your IRL life is fascinating and heartwarming. I feel so bad for Little You on that ride, combining so many of your phobias and issues at once. But at least you lived to tell the tale!! And many other tales!!

Remember when this was supposed to be an animated vlog channel. Then somehow we trapped Dingo into a purgatory of drawing a monkey forever.

In your defense, I was a dinosaur kid, and the ride, Dinosaur, in Animal Kingdom terrified me for years. Still one of my favorites though. It's probably gonna go away soon so I'll miss it.

Honestly it’s so nice to hear about another person with embarrassing childhood panic attacks at Disney I remember I was SO scare of all the rides but I pretended I wasn’t and actually *INSISTED* on going on all them That fake bravado carried me all through the line waiting but left me as soon as we were about to go in I then proceeded to have a meltdown right there and hold up the entire line while my poor mom tried to calm me down unsuccessfully This happened several times and then I had the absolute gall to complain we never went again My mom threatened to leave me at the park during that trip and I’m now thinking it may have not been a bluff because I would have 😂

travel NOW terrifies me, as a kid my dreams were so much worse, ever have a dream where you're left behind? it sucks.

Funny story, as a child I had pretty much the exact opposite reaction to Disneyland. I loved everything but just as we were about to go on the Haunted Mansion ride (like, we were in the actual building) my cousins told me it would be pitch dark and I got so freaked out that I (with my mom) had to be led out of the building lmao.

🥺But as a 11 year old girl I LOVED dinosaurs! I had to BEG my Mom to take me to see Jurassic Park in 93. She entered complaining about the ticket prices and costs of milk duds….. and left singing her praises saying this movie was going to become a classic. Blew her mind that some Dinos were related to birds! THAT was a cornerstone memory for me!

As someone who also rode that same dinosaur ride in the early 2000's at disney world, it was f****** TERRIFYING. I've fully suppressed all memories associated with that singular ride.

Six Flags over Texas. Backwards roller coaster called the Judge Roy Scream. The bar didn't lock down and my mom and myself did everything we could to keep my little body from ****ing flying out. I was wedged down in the car as hard as we both could make it. My legs didn't stop shaking for hours. Naturally afraid of coasters till late teens and the man code made me face it; now they're okay. I'd actually forgotten about it till just now, and remembering that fear still kind of hits me.

I honestly haven't thought the Fool's Gold story arc would be such a ride. It was very silly at the beggining, became personal and emotional in the middle... And then it sorta calmed down. I mean, the action still rolled but it became more plot-driven rather than character-driven. But at the long last, after several story bits and arcs and character developments we've finally reached the peak character-moment with reborn monke. And now it's time for a plot-driven narrative to pick up the pace and finish the epic adventure arc of Fool's Gold campaign (I believe it's the FG ending that was teased in this video). It sure was an amazing experience, Dingo (&guys). You have a talent in retelling the stories in not only fun way (we have a whole youtube worth of comedians) - but also really compelling and dramatic way. With real feels and tension. Please do keep up the good work. You would be a good audiobook voice actor if you weren't already a great animator! ^^

As soon as she said Bill Nye and Ellen I remembered that ride for the first time in over 20 years. And I knew exactly where things were going for little Dingo.

Those 4D experiences in Disney World freaked me the F&&K out when I was little also any roller coasters with crazy loops was a nope for me. I still remember my mom dragged on the Rockin Roller Coaster with Aerosmith and I was terrified. Then two years ago when I was 21 I did again and I loved it. Wasn’t as bad as I thought

You know I personally would like dingoes partner / fiance to put a dinosaur character in their campaign for shots and giggles. 😂😂

I've found the best way to deal with fear, right below facing them and all that nonsense, is to exaggerate them, build them up so big that they exist outside the day to day things you'd actually experience. If you can't beat em, make them so big it becomes nebulous and too big to actually touch you, therefore allowing you to accept them as all encompassing that you can't do anything even if it happens, but so common, it's like hitting the lottery.

woo, ryokos guide is probably the one setting i would like to use for a 5e campaign. going to have the players monster hunter their way through upgrades and safezone locations to decide their next steps.

This is basically what happened when we took my nephews (9 and 11) to Disney last year - hated all the rides, got on a couple that we didn't know exactly what they were and they got traumatized, and everyone wound up loving Epcot the most. XD (To be fair, I have always liked Epcot best, so I was happy the kids enjoyed it.) We have decided that theme/amusement parks just aren't their thing (which is sad for us adults that like them, but, hey, saves a lot of money).

Totally empathize, i stay home 96% of the time & do fiber art lol. I design patterns, make the crafts & dye yarns. LoL I’m designing dragon wing shawls and/or butterfly wing shawls, excited about dragon wings one cause I love doing textures & having fun figuring out how to knit cool looking dragon scales with yarns & two color brioche.

The earliest 4D experience I remember is a Pirates of the Caribbean thing. The bugs popped out of the screen, the seats shook, we got splashed, and I learned that I might need prescription glasses.

I've been on the Ellen/Bill Energy show ride before. So when you started describing it I started cackling, knowing what was gonna happen 🤣 Also, while Small World was a ride my dad was forced to go on a lot, it was nothing to my all time favorite CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS! Why that one? Mainly because of the song and how my dad absolutely despises it and how catchy it is 😂

OH MY GOD "its a small world" is the ONLY ride I remember from the one visit my family did to disney land. my mom was in a wheel chair at that time and somehow also got into the ride and since we liked it so much, we drove it multiple times in a row, without getting out, it was amazing! mom is dead now, so this is a fun memory of her. also i still hear that song in my dreams

honestly, I love dinos as a kid i watch all the Jurassic parks religiously. I never had a bad experience with them TILL that ride i still love them to this day but that actively lead to bad dreams of running and being chased down by the scarier ones always the same path always same ending of death.... Dinos fucking amazing thou still love them:D

Being a Florida native and an avid Disney-goer, it was fun to try and guess what Dingo was talking about with the 4D science show thing. Fun fact, Ellen's Energy Adventure no longer exists; they demolished it to make a Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster. So those dinosaurs can never torment any unsuspecting child again.

I have 2 core memories during my singular visit to Disneyland when I was 3 years old: Waving to Winnie the Pooh, and being weirdly confused by the "Keep an eye on your belongings" signs at Space Mountain.

Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean were my favorite Disney Land rides when I was a kid.

I will forever remember being stuck waiting for the original Universe of Energy for THREE FREAKIN' HOURS way back in 1986.

I've only ever gone on one thrill ride in my life. It was a roller coaster at Bush Gardens with no huge drops or loop-de-loops, and even then, I felt like I was going to throw up my organs the entire time, and during every sharp turn, I thought, "This time, the car is going to fly off the track and I'm going to end up as one of those stories on the local news." Also, in case you're thinking, "Oh, every little kid is like that", I was at Bush Gardens because I was part of the concert band performing that day.

I think I was one of the kids who didn’t want to go to a Disney park and you just solidified that for me

You talking about your experiences with that 4D cinema dinosaur show reminded me of my own experiences with 4D cinemas in both Disney World and other theme parks. I maintain to this day that those things are a special kind of utterly terrifying hell. I'll go on just about any other ride at a theme park that I'm allowed to, but I am absolutely never going in any of those 4D cinemas again.

I too, hate rides, crowds and loud noises. I am built different. I too hated Disneyland and Disneyworld, but I did enjoy Epcot. What broke me at Epcot though was the cosmic cradle, that rocking and rolling little 'space ship' ride got me immensely motion sick.

OH MY GOD. I also went to Disney World in 2006 (I was 3), and I went on that same ride I think!! All I remember is vague flashing lights of lightning outlining these terrifying dinosaurs looking down at me, and I didn't even MIND dinosaurs. I refused to go on any more rides for the entirety of the trip, including the Peter Pan ones, and I loved Peter Pan, and instead spent the next SEVERAL DAYS that my parents had pre-paid for refusing to go anywhere but this tiny Winnie-the-Poo themed playground. I mean, granted, I was 3, but I also feel like that dinosaur ride might have been legitimately a bit more scary than it should have been for children.

Honestly, the screaming and crying over animatronic dinasours at 12 is understandable. I had a panic attack on Disney's Jungle Cruise, at 14, because the animatronics in water terrify me.

Ngl I think every little kid around 5 has the experience of being weirdly obsessed with the idea of going to a haunted ride (for me and my siblings, it was a ghost train ride) but doing a 180 the second they experience it.

6:10 The fear of dinosaur animatronics as a kid is so real though! My family decided for SOME REASON to take me to a dinosaur museum with moving and sound-making dinosaur animatronics and the entrance had you go through a hall where you were SURROUNDED BY THE ANIMATRONICS ON BOTH SIDES. like what the hell man!!?! I refused to go in, f*quack*k that nonsense

Wow, this really drives home how close we are in age. My parents took me and my sister to Disney World for the first time in 2001, when I was 7, and then we went again in 2006, when I was 12. I have plenty of fun memories from those trips, but if I start going into those now, this will turn into a very long comment. Happy holidays and happy new year, Dingo!

One time when I went to Disney for my birthday. I really wanted to ride Alice in wonderland cuz I was in my Alice in wonderland phase back then and my favorite character was the Cheshire Cat. But when I saw his animatronic in the ride on the tree with him vanishing with only his face. I WAS TERRIFIED

I was 6 when my dad took me to the Alien show (now Stitch) that's like 4D. It was terrifying and he told me it'd be a fun ride.

Australian here. Remember Movie World when they had The Batman Ride and The Looney Toons Log Ride back in the 90s/80s? I went on both of them. Can still remember being scared shitless....

When I was about 11 my extended family visited Disney World for a month. Funny thing. Because of a storm my birthday was the low point of the trip.

I remember the plan to go to Disney World as a kid...we only went to Epcot which had my brother raging and me roasting for the day.

Dinosaurs were my gateway into dragons. They were 80% of my personality for the longest time. That being said, animatronic dinosaurs fucking terrified me, so I really can't blame child Dingo
