I swear the sound of those skis going across the snow is so therapeutic! How did you manage to make your turns so tight (short radius) in the wooded area?
Thanks! I’ve started swallowing my beginner pride by doing parallel turns when conditions and terrain make that more suitable. I’m not sure if I could’ve managed the same turns on xc skis with high/long camber and minimal rocker, but it seems to work well with the Voilés. In technical terms, I think I was probably “up-unweighting” and then pivoting the skis, along with using a bit of wedge and traverse to control speed and pick my line through the clutter. Here’s a good video I found about unweighting: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WKG3V55KPp8.htmlsi=HJJiTIwTlTiHrPuK
