Coach Lombardi was a very smart man while at St. Cecilia’s football team won 6 straight state championships while Lombardi was the head coach. In addition to coaching, Lombardi, age 26, taught Latin, chemistry, and physics for an annual salary of under $1,000. In 1942, Andy Palau left St. Cecilia's for another position at Fordham, and Lombardi became the head coach at St. Cecilia's.

A very fine doc. But I wish you didn’t rush your words. A hired speaker would have helped. Still, a fine, detailed production.

It's interesting that you mentioned that, because I was already planning on doing a compilation of the four parts and combining them into one single video with remastered audio. I have less than a year of experience in making documentaries, so this is still a learning process, but yes, I will release a version where things are slowed down and the audio is cleaned up.

Very entertaining - good job. But, in all respect, I have to agree with the previous viewer. I believe these docs would be tremendously helped by a more "conversational" tone, with a slower pace. You have derived a unbelievable amount of info and detail, so it's understood the difficulty getting it all in. You'll get it. Kudos for pouring through all the Green Bay Gazette/ Art Daley columns - a lot of work, but that's what sets it apart. Good luck!

@@zombiewooof I'm listening to these critiques and I believe I am getting better compared to this one that I made last year when I was new and I didn't know what I was doing. As mentioned in my previous comment, I'm thinking of releasing a revised version of this sometime next year. Thanks for the comment!

@@footballrestored171 the content and script writing is so dense and fascinating your scientific tone does not actually offend. I'd suggest more cutting into text c/u and photo c/u and less mouse scrolling and searching upon the wondrous newspaper text and photos. That stuff is remarkable and the black and white news photos in all cases can hang on the screen much longer than they do. This is especially true in the 1959 season doc--- the archival work is awesome and powerful and should fill the screen and hold attention without the scrolling and searching.

@@gilbertgiles Ultimately, it comes down to personal opinion on how to do certain things, but I don't linger on newspapers (too much), because I want to show movement as that's more visually interesting. One way around this is to do more zooming in on articles (without using the mouse) and that could be a compromise that would combine lingering and "movement" together, so perhaps I can experiment with that. If it seems like I don't know what I'm doing, that's only because I mostly don't. (That's especially true of this video.) I'm still learning how to edit and visually tell stories and I do feel like I'm getting better, but it's a slow process. I appreciate all the suggestions people have given me.
