Monae Jones It's just disturbs me that her aunt had to say she was pregnant rather than herself. I wonder when she goes to the doctor will they say she's actually pregnant.
This is a good ass pilot it is spectacular. I was just reading an article about it and at the end they had a poll and I saw that the majority of the people said it was terrible, which I 100% disagree on like come on people if you do not like Kenya that is a whole different story but this pilot right here is phenomenal and Kenya's acting is on FLEEK. Don't call her work terrible just cause you do not like her stop hating and using subjective judgement use objective judgement people.

I’m not a Kenya fan on RHOA but this is pretty good!! A little acting coaching for a few people and a bigger budget this could’ve an amazing series. She needs to hit up BET plus for sure!

There's a great blend of seriousness and goofiness happening in this pilot. I love it and I agree with others, Brandon definitely made this pilot a hit for me. His character is hilarious!

I absolutely loved this! People don’t understand its a pilot. When a major network pickup pilots they recast and add top notch things to take it to the next level. I’m praying her pilot gets picked up by a network. No weapon formed shall prosper! She will get it picked up and I’m watching every episode. Also, that Moore hair care when it comes out I’m pre ordering!
Tee D If (or When) they get picked up - I really like this cast. If they have to re-cast Janet I think Valarie Pettiford from "Half and Half" would be a good replacement or Suzanne Douglas from "Parenthood", who just played Cissy Houston in the Whitney movie.
Yes I would like for them to recast the aunt and the little sister. I think Cythina should come back as a friend /business woman partner to Kenya no accent though. She could be like Naomi on Empire giving us that new hair do and bomb outfit every week! I like Leon as the ex/baby daddy and of course the sister as d woods should stay. Maybe Malik off Empire could be Kenya's new possible love interest since he died on Empire and already has that fan base. Lol. I say keep Brandon as the assistant too. I see this going far if the can land a awesome aunt and little sister that will build a good fan base.
Tee D I agree about Cynthia. CeCe in the hands of a more seasoned actor would be an excellent comic foil or break out character. They also could keep Cynthia in the role, but tone it down a bit. Perhaps if the character spoke with more of a West Indian lilt instead of full on, heavy Jamaican accent it might work. I really like the idea of Cynthia as friend/frenemy/former model/ business partner to Kenya's character. I think that would be a better fit.
SoYahYah I noticed the height disparity, but then I saw that D. Woods was wearing boots and Kenya was in heels. The younger sister was ok, she's their half-sister, so I guess the height difference shouldn't be a problem.
Wow, I really didn't expect much from this but I was pleasantly surprised, this was really good and I loved Brandon, I thought he was hilarious. I would watch this if it were on tv.
I think she should have another go at this because Kenya is talented, respected and well liked. She was ahead of her time with this so now that it's 2021, I think she's ready. It was fun seeing Brandon, Cynthia and Leon on here as well

The truth is: If we can appreciate The Haves and the have Nots we must give Kenya props on this one. It was good. The only thing i'd criticize is Kenya acting as herself (name, shades and RHOA mentions), if she separates herself and some analogies from her real life and RHOA i would really enjoy this. Btw, that commercial should be real cuz it was GOOD ahahahah
You can say whatever you want to say about the Unforgettable Kenya Moore, but there’s No denying the fact that the Lady knows how to stay Relevant!!! I will definitely be watching this 💜❤️
This is nice! I actually enjoyed it. Didn't think I would since the preview left me feeling some type of way. The show (and the preview especially) has a Tyler Perry TV production value to it. Not something that I particularly like. But, once I got about 9 minutes in (the "toy" scene), I was literally LOL!!! Brandon's one-liners and Janet's acting skills were standouts to me. Everyone did a great job! Leon was just as smooth, sexy and effortless in his role as he was in 'The Five Heartbeats'. Also, as the show went on, it seemed the production value went up too. Actually, to me, a grade above Tyler's tv projects. For me, that's a GOOD thing! I can easily see this on Netflix, Hulu, RU-vid, BET, OWN, Centric, TVOne, The CW, WE TV, and other similar networks as a summer filler series. I hope this series finds a home because it definitely deserves one! And since this clocks in at just over 25 minutes, it's PERFECT to watch on your 30 minute lunch break at work on your tablet or phone! I think that's how I'll mainly watch it - especially if they post it to RU-vid in addition to its home network site. Also great to watch while you're waiting at the doctor's office or traveling too! I'm feeling it. She did a great job. As time goes on everyone will flow more naturally but overall it's definitely a thumbs up from me. Good script, funny lines, nice selection of the cast members. Loving how everyone plays off of one another. It's great. Go Kenya!
This is actually very funny and good. Lol, loved the part when she fell down the stairs and when the wedding guest took their gifts back. I like how Kenya can poke fun at herself and Cynthia's cameo was great! This definitely should get picked up or continued as a web series. Also, the acting is good. I've seen really poor acting and scripts from mainstream films so don't be too critical y'all. Twirl on Kenya but cool it with those hair adverts!
Congrats Kenya. Brandon has great comedic timing. It's wonderful to see Janet. The Make-up/special effect did an excellent job. I like D.Woods and the younger sister but unfortunately, they were miscast. They did a wonderful job acting but Kenya appears like an amazon woman next to them (very awkward). I wish they were taller. I would not be surprise they were replace once the show is picked up. Anyway, good luck to you all. I would watch the show.
sampa2nyc Unfortunately, even if D-woods was wearing heels it still would look imbalance. The only way it would appear better when they have scenes together is if the director do blocking that doesn't have them actually standing next to one other. They would have to do a lot of cheating like using blocks, tables etc. to distract you from their height. A good example of this is the Movie with Kevin Hart and Tika Sumpter directed by Tim Story. Great film and excellent directing particularly when it comes to blocking tall vs short leads. If you notice just about throughout the entire film, Kevin and Tika never stand next to each other. Kevin is sitting on the kitchen table when they kiss or Tika is sitting down while Kevin is up when they interact. Kevin is on one end of the room while, Tika is on the other side and they cut back and forth. Wide shots work too because again, they are not close enough where their height is detracted to the viewer or most importantly, harder for the cinematographer to shoot. It's ways to get around balancing Kenya and her two sisters - it's all on the director and being creative with one blocking.
Good Points. I just don't think it would look that imbalanced if one or the other wore flats or heels. Now, the actor who played the younger sister must be tiny because she was wearing heels and Kenya towered over her.
I like the premise also, It could really work as a series. I wonder if she will be working with Carlos King since I hear that he is leaving RHOA? It will be interesting to see where the show ends up.
