I kinda had forgotten I was actually in a Life Unexpected collab group for a while until I started this rewatch lol. I'm impressed by how many scenes still feel undervidded to me in general in the series, or parts of scenes, after that whole experience lol. I did include Lux very briefly in my most recent personal multifandom and Cate in my "Unwritten" multifandom about choice that wasn't made THAT crazy long ago... Watching now is interesting because of how different my life perspective is than when I was in college and watching it the first time. I'm 28 now, only 4 years younger than Lux's parents, I have more distance from the abuse in my childhood, a decade since choosing to cut my mom out of my life, I have an office job and have been through lots of unemployment and interviews and have more perspective on how unrealistic parts of the Baze s2 storyline are and I know I'm asexual aromantic which I didn't back when I was watching before and that always changes how I feel about certain moments in tv shows, not a lot but a few, certain invalidating lines of dialogue that make generalizations about all people and leave out others, or ways I'm just... Barred from as fully relating to characters. I hosted a step-parents/step-children collab in my uniquecreationsprodz collab group and wrote a Lux/Ryan little oneshot fanfic after the series finale so now when I see the moments relating to how Lux and Ryan feel about each other and especially when Ryan even says the words "step-daughter" I'm comparing it more fully to what other shows do or don't provide in that regard. I even recorded a podcast with a co-host for a year and a half and have some limited perspective I didn't have before on the radio show banter storylines with Cate and Ryan lol. It's different but it's just. It feels a little like it's all relevant. There's even that I saw Austin Basis move on to The CW's Beauty and the Beast TV series after being Math on this show and I think it makes new view Math's character a little differently! Idk I almost like him slightly less now which is weird and random. I think... I might've liked him a lot when I first watched in part because I'm aro-spec and very ace but didn't know it and he's sorta desexuslized and... Well Idk. There's just... A lot... And it's fascinating to me to analyze myself here. I'll probably finish my binge rewatch of the entire series today. :)
