Hi Everyone, I had some alone time and decided to make a”Life Update” video. Theses last 3 months of my transition have been the most difficult so far.
Really great message about wanting a world of acceptance and happiness. My family is struggling as well and you hit the nail on the head with them grieving. It's a change for everyone. As one of my sisters said to me, "Even though we're gaining a really great sister, you have to give us time to grieve the loss of our brother"...time will tell, and my love for them won't change. BTW - Great song. I play keys and guitar as well - coincidence? I think not :)
Thanks for Sharing Lanae. I find Tee's and Tanks with wider straps or tops with deep V's in the front really help my broad shoulders blend in a little more.
Tell your sister how you feel, Lanae. Be honest, let her know you’d just like to know if she needs time to grieve, and that you’ll respect and give her space as needed. As far as finding roommates, you might look online..I’m sure there are probably resources for LGBTQ people looking for safe people to room with. I’d say you’d probably be more comfortable rooming with women than cisgender men for the time being. Look on Craigslist and other sites where roommate postings might be. I’m sure you’ll find something ! Also, don’t give up on finding friends. It took me until I was in my twenties to find people I could call friends..I know you’re a bit older than that, but there is always time..please never never ever feel like there aren’t people out there to form relationships with. There are so many people on this planet, and you have a better chance of meeting some interesting people with all your travelling! Try the website meetup to look for groups to hang out with..look for LGBTQ resource..keep trying, eventually something will stick! I’m the most introverted person ever, I have to force myself to go out and be social..I get that vibe from you too. You got this!
K S Oh, thanks a bunch for the words of wisdom. I have been using craigslist for years , and I wish that there were better alternatives out there. I really don't care too much for CL. I feel like I am getting to a better place in order to have meaningful relationships in my life. Thank you so much.
