Your step Dad is very blessed and so fortunate to be given a second chance. Our very dear friend, age 52 passed away suddenly on Holy Thursday. His 16 year old daughter found him on the floor when she got home from school. Mom was at work. We are all devastated, they worked on him for a long time but it was too late. He was the kindest, sweetest, most generous man. We will be attending his wake on Friday and funeral on Saturday. We are heartbroken. My family were all here yesterday with us and I hugged them tighter and thanked our dear Lord. God bless your step Dad, prayers for his speedy and full recovery. 🙏🙏🙏

My brother-in-law at the age of 51 had a massive heart attack and coded 4 times in the ER. Thanks be to God, he was talking to us b4 we left that hospital that night. Do what you need to do Dana! We are here for you. I know what you are going through. My husband and I used to live in FL. and our parents were in Ohio. Plus I'm an only child. We lost both our fathers within a 3 month period and we were up and down the highway many times. Remember to take care of yourself ❤

Dana, Thank you for sharing a true miracle in every sense of the word. God is good! I know and understand the feeling of helplessness being miles from ill family. My parents moved from our home state when I was 19, 1978 until their passing in 2011 & 2012 , both with major health issues for years. As an RN, I’m amazed at your step-dad’s recovery. A true blessing! Whew! Something I’d like to know is if he has any recollection of his clinical death and if he will share that experience with family. Family comes first, always. It’s as if we know you as our friend. All that yummy food, desserts, and that ice cream looks soooo good. I haven’t had good luck with rub and buff. My first antique gold was gritty from HL and my next rub and buff , gold leaf, from Amazon, was liquidy and wound not stick! So I ended up buying new cabinet knobs for my bathroom cabinet. I hope you had a blessed Easter🐰 I'm so sorry what you guys went thru with your step father...God is so good, his miracles are true every day! I'm so thankful he's well, and I'll keep him in my prayers, that he Maggie a100%full recovery and for you & all the family.. for strength and peace. I understand how it is when your family lives so far away and an emergency happens. We live over 7hrs from all our family. 3yrs ago this past January, my FIL suffered a heart attack after a blood clot from his leg moved into his lungs and we lost him, there was nothing anyone could do to save him. Its still tough on my husband, that was his dad & his best friend. I'm so thankful your step dad pulled thru, Gods not finished with him yet! Don't apologize.. we understand! Family is first always! As moms we tend to think we're superwoman, we can do all things (or need to)😄 but i know our family understands we can't be everywhere at the same time, its stressful, i know! The pieces from Target are beautiful! The smaller one would be perfect to put a citronella candle in, if you're in an area where mosquitos are a nuisance. The frame turned out really pretty. All the food looked so yummy, made me hungry😄 Thanks for sharing.

Dana, what a wonderful, real life video. I am so sorry about your step father. You have witnessed a miracle for sure. God is so good. In 2018 I had a similar situation at age 67. I thought I had a bad stomach virus but became critically dehydrated. My husband took me to the ER, then when my blood work came back people started running even faster. I had already been given 2 IVs, they opened them wide open to get my fluid volume up, the monitors showed my heart doing all crazy rhythms because of very low potassium. I had no kidney function at all and several other serious anomaly’s. In my confusion I heard the word critical, ICU, isolation and saw his tears. The Dr was very kind to him but had to explain he could not offer any promises. For a couple of days I was pretty out of it. They did testing to discover why and it came back finally that I had a rare type of salmonella. The State of NY was notified of course. We had eaten the same things that we remembered during the previous week. On the 3rd day when I was to have dialysis, my kidneys started to work some. Endless lab work and IVs, IV meds. Constant one on one nursing and then my kidneys starting to work, dialysis was averted, each day became better when I was finally discharged we both realized how close I came to a catastrophe because I already have some serious autoimmune conditions. Indeed we had witnessed a miracle, God was at work. It took me over a month to get my strength back. It is totally understood how hard it is to support your Mom and to help with future care for your step-dad. Those of us who follow you will keep you in prayer. Your daughters are so sweet to prepare dinner. The cake looks delicious too. Love the frame! Just a note, I loved the piano music at the ending of your video. But I am partial to piano and instrumental. Thank you for sharing your lows as well as highs. We all have them and your followers are so happy to help be a support to you and yours. 💕🙏🏻🙏🏻💐

Hi Dana! Glad to know your stepfather is doing so well! I read a story about a man who was pronounced dead and brought to the morgue. About a half hour later or so someone nearby heard noises and when they went into the morgue they found him sitting up! Completely fine! He had a near death experience and remembered them pronouncing him dead, etc. Truly a miracle! I remember seeing those candles holders online....Studio McGee.... and thought how beautiful they were! I may order and use them indoors! So nice that your daughters did all the cooking for Easter! Our daughter will come over and cook us a meal and it is so special! And yes we do care about you when you are gone! ❤

I am so sorry to hear of your stepfather’s heart and kidney issues. We had a similar situation to happen to my father in law probably close to 20 years ago. His heart stopped at their church service and thankfully there was a nurse there who did compressions until the paramedics arrived and they had shocked him many times and told my MIL that they would shock him one more time and that’s when his heart started beating. He stayed in a coma for about 10 days and they told us he was brain dead and we needed to make the decision to take him off of life support. Finally, my MIL said she couldn’t do that and they cut back on. Some of the sedatives they were giving him and he woke with no brain damage and lived about 8 more years with the help of some procedures and medications. The drs at the hospital and a friend of ours who was a cardio dr said if he woke up he would probably be a vegetable, God proved them wrong. I will be praying for him, your mother and all of you as you go thru this difficult situation. We have been there and our parents living 3 hrs away and it was hard. That’s why when we retired we moved close to my daughter. You and your family come first, we aren’t going anywhere. 😢❤🙏

My husband had a major heart attack at 42. He also had to be resusitated several times. He recovered and was fine. He had another heart attack in his late 50's. He later had bypass surgery and many stents. Talk about a miracle. I hope all goes well for him.

Prayers for your family, my daddy did this same thing he died for at least 10 min or more and the doctors in Indianapolis brought him back. It was during covid and I was 2 hrs away the hospital wouldnt let me visit and then he was put into a care facility and again with covid they would not let me see him. It was very sad times, but he came through it. It is hard not living close to family. I have you all in prayers Dana

Is your dad on Medicare? Because of what happened to him, he’s eligible for home care visits from a nurse. I don’t know all the particulars, but you can contact them to see just what he’s entitled to. My mom had a nurse come to her house a couple of times a week after she came home after heart surgery.
